Anyone else suffering with this? its driving me nuts!

The material of the tongue and the inside of the shoe grip each other so with every turn of the pedal....SQUEAK!

I thought it would go away after a few hundred milles but nooooo.

Have the same problem, took me a while to realize it was the shoes. In the end my solution was to change to a pair of Giro Empire SLX instead. Not really helpful I know.

Maybe just add a dab of vaseline or silicone spray? My Sworks 6 don't squeak.

good idea, I will try some vaseline. I know exactly where they are squeaking too. its the inside, right under the top boa dial and it grips to the tongue. very annoying!

Yeah, I was going to suggest silicone lube as it doesn't attract dirt.

good to know. i have two pairs and they both squeak. thought it was the cleats and couldn't narrow down where the sound was coming from. i'll try some dry lube in the area described and see what happens.

This is exactly what I did. Actually My S Works are a bit older but they too squeaked like crazy. I'd just built up my Caad 12 and was convinced it was the bb.

I found really cleaning the specialized shoes with soap helped, especially around the tongue area. Don't know if it was cleaning the time or the soap lubticating but seems much better now.

I was thinking that maybe a little talcum powder would be the ticket.

Yep, mine squeak too, it's a very "leathery" sound. Going to try these tip, wasn't sure what to do...

A quick rub with paraffin wax is all you need.
