I'm selling my 2018 propel advanced disc. It's an amazing bike the past two months I have spun out my fastest average MPH, topping 20 more often than not. Unfortunately, I have a pinched never in my c7 and the position is just a little too aggressive for me. Bought in November, got about 750 miles. Damn shame.

i have a tcr advanced pro (green ) coming in in feb/march time frame. already ordered some upgrades :) dt swiss discs to replace the stock narrow width rims.

only concern i have is giant has not anounced pricing/availability on proprietary stem. ordered a medium will need to get a 110mm stem.

here is one review. the luv it.

Can you run the same covers with a different length stem?

My TCR M size runs a 120mm so if i were to get a propel I'd have to change the stem length...

So you have a 130mm steam on order ?
What framesize and how tall are you ?

I'm 190cm and thinking of a L (58cm) frame with a 130mm slammed stem....

Has anyone noticed use of New Propels in Pro races lately? Might be just me but all i see are TCR's with Sunweb team. Wondering whats the issue there? TCR too good? Propel weight too much? Riding on cobbles in Classics is too hursh with Propel? There is intenal hate on disc brakes in Sunweb team? The wattage gain with aero bike is actually not important for the riders? So many questions :)
Maybe i just overlooked the Propels in the TV :)

thx for the vid it's apparent that the Propel Disc has clearance for 31mm effective tire width!

Conti 28 mm will fit and they measure near that (tried it with my own wheels). Can’t see why one would put such a wide tyre on an aero bike (did Roubaix on an old defy (half tcr) team bike on 28 conti’s and it will easily outperform the Propel disc on the cobbles).
Think that Giant has/had problems on the delivery of the propel disc since the. First batches weren’t delivered until a few weeks ago.
The Propel disc is overall a nice bike but a bit overpriced and the decalls over the black paint look a bit weird. (my 2017 propel with rim brakes feels just as fast and with the fouriers only brakes worse in the rain), in climbs I would pick my tcr over both.

the pro's are very picky on the handlebar reach/drop/shape. the propel proprietary non-round/non-adjustable bars are f*** stupid. i predict a fix before the end of the year.

With slammed stem it looks reasonably okish.. But with those ugly rubber spacers, thats something else. Would be certainly better if they could address the weird stem cover and still maintaine hidden cables which is one of the main selling point of the bike. Some other manufacturers did a better job to engineer it. Mainly BMC and Trek.

Cant wait for new Aeroad. Expecting great clean integreation and look.

If you're running mechanical and you want to drop the bars from up high to down low (or vice versa), would you not have to re-cable the bike to do so, since you're constricted to the space available inside the bars/stem? This whole integrated concept makes everything far more tedious and complex, and realistically, for what? Nevermind that exposed cable housing looks much nicer than that stem does.

that's why it shouldn't be running mechanical... eTap ftw
