Is there any companies (or individuals) in the US that specialize in refinishing crash damaged components?

I am thinking carbon SRAM shifters and crash damaged (but still functional) rear derailleurs.

You mean like these? I have 2 derailleurs and a handle I'd like restored.

It's pretty easy to remove the paint and anodizing. Keeping mind that if you sand something that has two finishes, the harder finish will sand more than the softer one - if you sand paint on carbon, you'll remove more carbon than paint.

Oven cleaner removes anodization
Paint stripper for paint

Carbon epoxy/resin will turn orange if you don't put something with some UV protection on it (basic clear paint will go a long way). Go with "2k" paint for harder, longer lasting results - but even good spray paint isn't as durable as factory finishes.
