Bontrager Supercharger is by far the best pump I've used/owned. Birzman the worst because the chuck just doesn't stay on.

The simple answer to this is the following:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O ... UTF8&psc=1

and this

https://www.efficientvelo.com/product/p ... -inflator/

I haven't used a floor pump in fifteen years!

I've been using the porter cable for a while too (with sks head).

What do you guys think about Silca Hiro as a replacement head?

The Hiro is a nice piece, however for around $30 Arundel now makes a very nice similar chuck. The only negative is it won't work with disc wheels, if you're a tt guy. Its available at Clever Training and other spots.

Just ordered one, direct from Arundel. Though, it looks like it's been discontinued. At least, the other sites say so...

Love WW overkill at its best   :beerchug:

I have up on buying a pump that lasts forever a long time ago. It is a mechanical instrument, and as such, it will fail at some point. I now buy the cheapest and functional one that will get met 140 PSI regardless of brand. Have a Silca chuck here that I have in a very old Serfas pump, which so far has been my longest lasting and cheapest pump. Works great until the seal needs replacing, which seems to be a slow process.

I am tempted to get that compressor, if anything for the overkill factor at home to pump 10-20 psi/tire 3x/week!!

KCNC does a similar one as well. The Arundel has a schrader male thread where it mates to the hose-you can buy a female schrader to hose barb connector at a number of places (prestaflate makes one) for cheap. I ended up just sticking the Arundel head in the schrader hole in my existing chuck and using it that way for now with a floor pump. On a compressor set up you could buy a cheap harbor freight automotive inflator and cuck the arundel into that. I have one set up like that as well.

Good God! Are you talking about the ones you can plug into the cigarette lighter? Cause I did that one as well (well I had to buy a cigarette lighter female housing, which I've connected to an old PC power supply in the garage, and built a housing for the whole thing. And then decided a 300W power supply in a wooden box is not a good idea. And on and on and on. Yep that is an obsession...)

The damn harbor freight compressors last only a few months. After the third one, I switched to porter cable. Now need a new project....

No, I meant just the actual valve with the pistol grip that you chuck into an airline. Poor man's prestaflate.

Question for everyone -
I just got a new head for my Lenzye pump. The head does not fit in the built-in holder. Is there an solution to hold the hose in place? I can't find the small part anywhere.

Bontrager Super Charger floor pump. All metal construction. Replacable inner guts. Unless I run it over with my car i dont ever foresee it giving me problems.

You'd be waiting AGES for that air compressor to get to 90psi+. I had an HF one that was similar. I put it out on the curb. No one even picked it up. You'd be better off with a Ryobi or Milwaukee infiltrator.
