Thanks, that’s close enough for my ass but I still like a bit of padding.
Mine is a 'custom' build with only a leather cover, no padding. Padding adds a few mm of width on both sides, making the 132mm more like 140mm in reality. I owned the nude version, and 132mm was really perfect. So, Jure proposed to simply cover a 3K saddle without padding. Nude 3K was not an option, I don't have any 3K part on the bike, and nude UD is having various issues, so a covered 3K was the solution for me!! Brilliant custo service by Jure!!!

Would be fairly easy to cover the bonty saddle with some leather. It's fine for me so far as it is. 4.5hr rides are not a problem. The shape really is great. I can really put in a hard effort now without sliding around on the saddle to get comfortable. I was running a Williams Aurora SLC+ for years. But with the flat profile I felt like I was always having to re adjust, not from being uncomfortable but just from constantly sliding back on it. After readjusting the xxx saddle properly with -1° it seems to holds me in place.

I swapped my Aliante for an XXX carbon a few weeks ago, and have been very happy so far. Hard to believe that naked carbon would be comfortable, but so far so good. I've got a couple of centuries upcoming, and hope my opinion remains the same lol.

How much flex do these saddles have in the shell?

not much at all... very stiff, especially compared to the Berk on my Gravel rig.

Thanks, that's what I was comparing it to.

People think it's an arse hatchet and I would too just looking at it... but it's very nice. As with all bare carbon you have to be watchful if you want it looking nice for the long run.
