Sub 6kg R5 build and my sub 7kg S5 will do me nicely
What prompted you selling it off? Looking to pick one up on clear out. Aware of the limitation of the crank set spacing... Anything else to think about?

Is there anybody who can help me?
I'm in trouble about tire clearance on the R5 rim brakes, I don't understand which is the maximum tires size (effective, measured) will fit the latest version of the R5 rim brakes.
I've read in some reviews that the frame admit only 25mm, in other review say that the R5 will fit up to 30mm tires,
https://www.winterparkcycles.com/blogs/ ... 5-is-here/ so what is the truth?
This combo tire+rim can fit on the R5 rim brakes?
Thank you

I'd trust another review before anything off GCN which is basically non-stop rolling paid for advertorials. They will say anything you want them to as long as you pay them money!.
A lot of people do not understand that GCN is an advertising channel rather than a reviews site and I think that is shameful.

But they do not lie intentionally about facts. Although facts can be used many ways, for example the way GCN usually praises aero bikes is quite over blown. In essence all that’s told is based on facts, but the point of view is sometimes quite narrow.

Thank you very much.
Hi, for what it's worth I can confirm the new R5 officially (and easily) fits 28mm. A 30mm is also doable with the brake caliper height being the limiting factor. The disc frameset has even more clearance, could just about get a 32 in the back and whatever you wanted in the front.
Any review mentioning 25mm clearance is talking about the previous frame.

Which is the angle of the stock stem?
How much is the offset of the stock seatpost?
How it's long the seat tube of the R5 tg.54?
Thank you very much!

Just another thing about the R5, rim vs disc, what about the ride quality?
There is difference in the efficiency between the two frames?
I'm talkin about stiffness, descending precision, harshness......
Thank you

I'd suggest that due to the lack of brake bridge, the R5 Disc might be microscopically more comfortable.
However, that's definitely nothing you would personally able to distinguish between two similarly equipped R5's with similar wheels (rim vs disc, of course) and tyres.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike
