Need a good value climbing cassette: 11-30, or 11-32 (SRAM/Shimano)

The high end ones are in the league of SRAM Red, £200 (260USD). No-one said Ultegra was high cost (though in the UK they're around 70 to 80USD, not 50). As for the good value ones, yes Ultegra is one of them, but not the only one, hence the thread canvassing for opinions. Go out and ride your bike and stop being an arse on the internet 8)
Most i see are around 45-48 quid so about 60 dollars.

Couldn't find a single 11 speed at £45.

Price range seems to be £46.49 to £67.49 depending on option. So just over 60 dollars would be the absolute lowest price in the UK right now. It goes up and down weekly as they run price checking software against each other. Quite good today, actually bought one earlier at £46.49

No pedantry, i've just ordered one for 549 SEK. Spent this afternoon looking for the cheapest place to put my order together. (Slightly more than just a cassette. or i'd not have bothered.) Cheapest i saw was 519.

But everything else was more expensive.......

Type in "Ultegra 11 speed cassette" in Google and you will get lots of possibilities. Ranging from $50.98 at Wiggle to $50.98 at Competitive Cyclist to $50.98 at Backcountry.com. Nashbar is high priced at $57.99! $50.98 is just for the unwanted ratio cassette. The desirable ratios cost a couple dollars more. $51 to $58 and free shipping does not seem too outrageous to me. The Shimano 105 11 speed cassettes are low $40s if you want to save a couple dollars.

Since these 32 cassettes are used for climbing in the mountains I don't get the gearing of of the larger cogs. I could live without the 13 but would love the see a 30 instead ... but apparently you would need to hand built/customize them. My perfect climbing cassette would be 12-32T 12_14_15_17_19_21_23_25_28_30_32

don't know if it's just me, but I can't take the 19/22 jump on Sram cassettes. Even though I do not mind a bigger jump (16.7% vs 15.8%) from 24 to 28, maybe because it is a bailout gear. Otherwise their red cassettes would be tempting.

Basilic. Agree 100%. The inability to get an off the shelf 30 and 32 on the same cassette was the first thing that surprised me. If I'm buying a 32, it's for climbing, and I want to be able to climb various gradients without jarring changes in cadence. We all do. Must be some reason for it I'm not aware of.

I'm also looking to change my Miche 11-30 cassette with the new Dura Ace CS-R9100 (11-30) or SRAM XG-1190 (11-30). Between these 2 which one would you recommend for a combination of Ultegra DI2 rear derailleur with 36-52 Rotor Q rings (for best shifting and silence, weight is similar from what I know...)?

I am running 53/39 in the front with short cage RD + 11-28 cassette, and thinking about 11-30 cassette instead of going with semi-compact crank. People said 32T in the back should be ok, but 30T will be more likely a good fit? but 11-30 would means going with DA which is $$$$.

For what it's worth I tried running an 1190 on my 9070 r5 and couldnt get it quiet. Ended up going back to a DA cassette (9000) and chain (as opposed to kmc) and the noise went down. This was on 11-28 cassettes so things may have moved on.

Running 11-32T with an Ultegra 6800 long cage now. Would like to have just a bit more upper room, like the upcoming 34T ultegra cassette. Since this is not available yet what are my other options? Sram 11-36 possible?

see above.. i'm running midcompact with sram 11/32 and it's fine with wifli RD. just on the large chainring front.. you can't shift the rear cassette higher than 17t.

I'm running 1x11. 40t Chainring on Duraace 9000.

Edit:
short RD, fortunately my madone 7's derailleur hanger is quite long. So only need to change the b-screw to longer one.
I also use short sram red 22 RD on my canyon ultimate CF SLX on XTR 11-40t cassette (1x11), with additional Roadlink.

Wow where do you get the longer B screw? So with my 52/36 and linger b-screw + wifli RD, I can run up to 11/36?
