I got a sheet of 3m paint protection film in matt from ozishield. I must say the customer service was incredible, had a very informative phone call on exactly how to install the film, either wet or dry and it was sent up with a squeegee and baby shampoo incase I needed it.

I cut up a small section and installed dry with no trouble at all and as you can see in the pictures it's almost impossible to see. I have only done the chainstay, but if you look closely I went very close to the BB shell on the drive side.

I may put some on the bottom of the down tube but haven't decided yet.

When you do measure the top tube from the head tube to the set tube (center to center). Do yo actually get the measurement that AX has provided which, for a size Medium is 541? Or did it measure less than stated?

awesome frame! I've been eyeing it, but the geometry is just too high for the stack height. Would love to get an AX Ultra with stack/reach of 53/39cm.

good call on the EE brakes - love mine.

Technical question, hopefully someone can answer;
I'm installing sram dzero cranks, bb30/386, spacers, wavy washer etc. as this frame has asymmetric chainstays, maybe BB too? Do I centre the crank arms to the down tube or the chainstays? If anyone has experience with the best spacer setup that would be appreciated too!

2nd ride, bike is unbelievable. Couple of things;
ee brakes are stronger through the whole range and require less "strength" for the power than Dura-Ace 9000. Same wheels, same pads..
Front wheel to toe clearance is pretty darn close on this bike, 172.5mm cranks, 43 sidi and I've hit the "brakes" a couple of times doing slow sharp turns. Some nice tyre marks on my white shoes.
The saddle is actually very good! I must have been lucky with a good fit but no problems at all coming from an SMP Dynamic.
Hands off the bike tracks dead straight, no wobble at all, descends beautifully climbs like a rocket!
I got the chain line perfect and will post a picture of exactly how to space the Dzero on BB386 EVO frames if anyone is interested.

All done! Thanks to everyone for the help along the way. The ride is unreal! and I'm happy with the weight running tubeless clinchers with sealant..
