Seat Post Question

I've been speaking to Jure about getting one of his posts to match my saddle, which will be going on my spare/winter bike. Now my post is a 31.6 which he won't start making until April, he can make a shim for me though, but at some stage I expect I'll change the frame, as you do, but don't know what to, resulting in not knowing what size post to get. Obviously a 27.2 with a shim will open up my options on frames but I'm concerned aesthetically what it will look like. Has anyone gone down this root and can post a pic please.
