So I have a Cannondale CAAD 8 optima and looking to make this killer light. I am starting with the crank and bottom bracket. I am obsessed with getting a 1x set up. Anyone have suggestions on the best way to go on this ?

The CAAD 8 and the CAAD Optimo are two different bikes.

No they are not. Caad 7,8, and 9 all used the optimo aluminum from Alcoa here in the states. Here is an older caad 8 optimo USA.
