Which bottom bracket would you recommend to use with Dura Ace 24mm?
I'm waiting for the new S works crank with powermeter to come next year. Hence do not wish to spend too much on BB brands like ceramic speed. I'm considering C bear.

Cheers

I use the Praxis Works bb adapter in all of my Specialized bikes, with Shimano cranks... 3+ years with no issues. I have the ceramic model in my Venge and Shiv TT and the standard bearings in my Allez. The Shiv is super efficiant and free-spinning, especially with the combined use of the ceramicspeed OS pulleys and molten speed wax chain.

Thanks for the advice mate!!

Was informed that it's not adviseable to use it. It will damage the bb30 quite quickly.

Hi everybody,

just received my new Sworks Tarmac Ultralight. I wanted to know if yours has the DI2 bluetooth. Because when I push on the junction A button, nothing happens.
It seems that there is no bluetooth equipment. From my point of view it misses EW-WU111 device.
Thanks for your feedback.

I wouldn't imagine that the bike would come with the bluetooth module... that's not really a standard part and not needed for use, so I can't imagine it would be included. It's not too difficult to add.

I agree.
I asked the question because my dealer said that it was included. But for sure he was wrong. I plugged the system to etube and the software verdict is : no BT module.
I will inform my dealer to not communicate bad things to next customers.

I am actually surprised that this module is not included as almost everybody has a Garmin etc... (and choose the Di2 in order to use the E-tube app). I suppose the manufacturers want to save some money.

Optional components like that are rarely ever included in OEM builds.

Haha, I left my UL for a few adjustments and asked the mechanic if he could figure out why the D-Fly wouldn't connect to my Garmin. I'm not sure what that thing is but it's not a D-Fly. I have one now so it's all good but yeah, they didn't include it.

Have any of you Ultralight owners weighed your Roval CLX 32 wheels?

I'm thinking of getting a Trek Domane SLR Disc and wondering whether to go with the standard Bontrager Aeolus 3 wheels or whether to start with a Frame and go with the CLX 32 wheels, as they are supposed to be quite a bit lighter. I wonder how accurate the claimed weights really are?

Are any of you going to run them tubeless? I understand that they come tubeless ready.

Thanks,

Geoff

I picked up a 2018 SWorks Tarmac SL6 a few days ago and once I had my pedals(Time Expresso Carbon/Ti), 2 carbon cages with aero SWAT tool and my Garmin mount installed the complete weight was 14.8lbs in size 56cm. I was shocked!! After a few rides, the bike is absolutely astounding and a pleasure to ride.

The stock bikes come with a EW-JC200 E-Tube 2 Port Junction, not a EW-WU111 Di2 D-Fly.

Visually very similar.

The stock Di2 bikes all have terrible Di2 cabling and I'm shocked Specialized haven't done something cleaner or integrated the Di2 around the cockpit at all.

I'll post some photos of the bike I built from a frame up soon.

Agreed that the stock ultralight bikes had the Di2 setup phoned in on a massive level. Extra cable length outside the tape...just messy job overall. So much potential for a clean job and they dropped it on the execution.

My UL frame will be here in a few weeks :D so ordered the ee’s today. LBS called specialized confirmed the adapter for the ee on a 54 frame is from cane creek and not from specialized. He’s working with CC to secure one.
