I've never once had this happen to my late-generation FSA ABS cranksets. They are lighter and measurably stiffer than Dura-Ace, and the shifting is excellent. They are plentiful on eBay at the moment and can be had for half the cost. You should check them out.

share which model you use exactly.

Have we ever seen any 9100 crankset broken? Or is it so far Ultegra and Dura Ace 9000?

Mij first da 9170 da crank became noisy / started creaking and after changing bolts/rings for new the creak stayed. In the end the glued joint (right crank) started to work (small cracks in the black paint) and the crank was exchanged by shimano (no question asked)

FSA SL-K ABS 4-bolt (I own a 52/36, 53/39, and 50/34)

Just purchased a 9100 crankset. Has anyone run into any issues? I live in a warm tropical climate with a ton of rain half the year. I hope I can make it last.

I posted a shortly before your post, with a broken 6800, which I promtly replaced with a 9100. 16 months later, i started hearing creaking while on the downstroke of my right side. I had the BB checked and no issues and it spun well at the LBS. On a ride a week later, noise would come out during heavier pedaling. Long story short, looks like the area between the 2 bonded peices of the Dura Ace crank failed and came apart.

I've got cranks from the other brands and never had any issues. I'm swithing to a NOS sram red22 crank and just painting it black. 2 cranks in under 2 years is just ridiculous.

Isn’t there a thread about sram red pedal interface getting loose? And a guy did his own carbon repair on it

The failures of Shimano cranks appear to be centered in countries/places that have a high relative humidity...

Not sure about getting loose, but my old Red 10s did have some bubbling around the pedal thread area. It was warrantied (after 2 years of use)>

I have repaired loose inserts on FSA, Specialized and Lighting cranks. Actually Lightnings had a tendency to crack. No further issues after the repair, but clearly their process was not very reliable at the factory.

That looked a lot more like a mechanic failure than a component failure.
