Sorry to bring up an old thread but, I guess it’s possible to wire two momentary switches that are split off from the e-tube connector instead of wiring them in parallel?

My plan would be cut an e-tube in half so that I have two male connectors (one connects to the left shifter and one would connect to the right shifter) with a tail of x length to splice into. I would splice two sets of paired wires so that I’d have one pair go to a sprint shifter in the drops and one pair would go to a climbing switch on the bar top. Presumably, going this route would let me have a control to down shift in the drops or top tube on the left side and up shift in the drops or top tube on the right side.
