I'm trying to remove my praxis works adapter. I've followed the instructions first unscrewing the drive side and then removing the non drive side. The issue I have is that the pf sleeve has remained in the bottom bracket and is very stiff and is not budging.

Do you have any tips on how to remove the sleeve please?

Some photos so that people can visualise the issue.
I've got this far with tapping a screw driver but it now won't budge.

Any ideas anyone?

You really want to be using one of these, not a screwdriver...Image

Praxis video has to be one of the most well set out instructional videos I've seen for a bike related part.

Actually, the Praxis BB needs the 1 1/2" diameter tool, which is the RT-2.

That park tools removal tool is invaluable if you ever plan on dealing with servicing stuff. I have used a vacuum extension before that matched up perfectly to one side.

Thanks for all the advice. Park Tool RT-2 ordered as I'll be doing this job again in the future. I've already invested in the bearing press and drifts so buying this makes sense.

Another option is to use the electric holes found in the sleeve to pull out the sleeve. I did this the first time when I realized I didn't have the correct tool. It takes a bit of time, and I would use a twisting motion when pulling. Thinking back, I would spray a bit of lubrication between the shell and sleeve as it may reduce the friction. Having said all of this, the correct tool makes it so much easier.

The proper tool should make a massive difference. I tried to knock out an old headset with a screwdriver and it just kept slipping off. With the correct tool one tap and it was out.

Will this work with some modification (spredding)?
