Oven cleaner perhaps? I believe this particular frame was anodized.

I used a paint and varnish intelligent stripper. It got through the clear coat and most of the paint and graphics. I had to repeat the process twice and between each step I used a high pressure car washer to remove all that mixture, that paint stripper is water soluble. I removed all the paint that was left by blasting some baking soda on it with a small sandblasting gun, you would not believe how easy it is. I have started the polishing process, should finish polishing the frame by the hand of the week. I will try to share my build by creating a new tread but since it's Prendrefeu who inspired the all project(thanks by the way, it's nice to know there are other freaks like me out there!)
This makes me wanna get my hands on a CAAD12 and do the same.

Satin polish over chromed polish!
Orbital sander + sanding paper grit 220-then 320- then 400
Cordless drill with cloth disc + brown rouge polish paste
Applied graphics bought on Ebay
Light soda blast( buy some baking soda and search "soda blasting DIY on YOU TUBE")
Light polish with white rouge polish paste
Remove graphics!
One other thing: Trust yourself!

Ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure I present to you my 2016 CAAD12(work in progress)
Frame: Stripped, hand polished and soda blasted.
Fork: Stripped, custom CAAD12 decals applied(sorry the picture doens't show)
Groupset: 2017 Sram RED, rear derailleur, brakes and shiffters(I run 1x11)
Cranset: Cannondale SISL2 with 44T Cannondale spidering
Cassette: Sram RED 11-32
Chain: Sram RED
Cockpit: Enve handlebar with Enve stem
Seatpost: Cannondale speedsave 25.4mm x 350mm
Saddle: Mmmmm... la crème de la crème, Fabric ALM ultimate saddle
Wheels: Mavic Ksyrium Pro exalith(not sure yet)
The front derailleur hanger has been shaved(yeah I know but I saved 10 grams)
The left shiffter has been removed(picture does not show)
The fork has been cut(left the cone)
Winter is coming here in Quebec, Canada, so I guess I won't be able to let you know my impressions until next spring.
This bike has been built for one thing in mind: Commuting, therefore it had to be light, comfortable and simple, I am a MTB guy so front derailleur had to go.
Weight: 6kg.
Hope you like it.
