If you go to the Fuji website and click the "Inside Fuji" tab you can read a bunch of reviews. Seems that Tour thought pretty highly of the SL 1.1

Just received my frame tonight (54 cm).

An article, sort of, from Road Bike Review on the Fuji SL 1.3 bike. 14.17 pounds for a 56cm bike. Pictures have Look pedals, Cateye computer and a couple cages. Not sure the 14.17 weight includes them or not. The bike they tested was Dura Ace Di2 with a bunch of Oval, Fuji subsidiary, parts and wheels.

My teammate just finished his build using mainly Red components, Ciamillo carbon brakes, New Ultimate seatpost, some carbon saddle and some ridiculously light tubular wheels. 10.3 Lbs (or 10 Lbs 3 oz can't remember for sure). I don't plan on trying to match that.

Even though Fuji doesn't enjoy its brand hype, it has been known for decent ride quality and design. The new frame makes me wonder if it can elevate Fuji's brand.

Probably, considering this weight here - for a size 54 - is 709g without any hardware on the frame.

It's a nice frame weight.

But for context, a Canondale EVO from 2012 in size 54 weighs 772g with complete hardware (source)
and a Neil Pryde Bura SL (which was shown to actually be fairly aero, cue the chart showing this) weighs 777.5g in size Large (complete with hardware) [source], making the size M probably similar in weight to the Fuji SL in 54.

So, in reality - and I'm sad to infer this - the Fuji SL isn't as light as it is touted to be.

It's just light.

I think what makes Fuji SL really appealing is that you're hovering around 750gram (size 54) at almost half the price of a frame of similar weights.

Will performance bike carry this bike in store? It's already on sale at $1799 on their website, although only for the 61cm.

I want to get it but would like to try it out first to know whether I need a 54 or 56 frame.

The 748 included derailleur hangar, BB access cover, and the plastic internal cable guides, (didn't want to remove those until I build it).
So probably, without those, I'm just guessing closer to the 709. I'm not worried about it.

I used to think Neilpryde Bura SL is good value for a weightweenie frame, but this is even cheaper.

I bought mine at a very discounted price (around 1.5k). It was a previous year / electronic only version, but the only difference to the current model was the paint scheme.

It seems the 2016 should be out soon, and from the pictures I've seen, the only difference is the internal routing of the rear brake cable. I bet the 2015's will be found really cheap.

For a nice light build, this is a great bang for the buck frame.
