I broke a set - in a 45 km/h crash. Got a new set immediately

We'll give crash failures a pass. That's the main reason I'm using $70 bars instead of $300!

Besides safety, you should be careful when buying from aliexpress.
These are the pictures of my handlebar I purchased from aliexpress during the gwanggunjie.
There are countless pores, rashes, and whatsoevers all around its surface.
They almost gives me trypophobia.

Make sure the seller to show you the actual product before you make purchase from ali.

Plus, the seller insisted that the product is 'NORMAL.' :noidea:
After a long dispute, finally aliexpress stepped in, and I could get full refund with the seller paying for the return freight.

I bought seat post as well.
Funny thing is that its finish is flawless.

That finish is definitely not QC passable.

I doubt they even do QC.

It really depends on the factory and the seller.

Bought a bottle cage pair from a seller. He actually sent me photos of a cosmetically defective one to ask if it was alright that I wait for an extra 3~4 days before he sends out a "proper quality" one from his supplier's replacement.

But that was over 2 years ago though.

This thread reminds me of a recent article I read about a seizure of hundreds of bags of plastic rice in Nigeria, or the Chinese 2008 baby formula tainted with melamine scandal. Ingesting plastic rice or melamine tainted baby formula will likely kill you. Buying Chinese no-brand handlebars can also kill you. Do yourself a favor. Please don't play Russian roulette with parts especially the handlebar.

I agree.
As far as I know, there are not so many factories in China where carbon products are actually laid up.
But the finish job is done in smaller domestics or even at home.
It is a total crap shoot.

Nope... That is as dangerous as gamble. Most of there parts made with glass fiber baked.
It's cheap way to make carbon product. but stiffness is not good as brand product. even it can break just smashing on ground.
