Maybe you're having this discussion because you're from different places in this world?

If anyone's wondering the Mille GT Winter does fit like a skin suit-jacket. It's not a "Mille fit" per se like the old naming convention with the Bonka Mille.
Yes, I was pleasantly surprised by the Hashoogi (and I'm never going to call it the Mille GT Winter Jacket again. It sounds all Rapha, God forbid). So I'm thinking that if my Bonkajacket was not doing just fine except for the colour of the white neck which has turned battleship grey, a feature of the otherwise splendid RXQ fabric, also seen om my white Falkenzahn, I'd get myself an Eisenherz (Deep breath: Mille GT Winter Jacket ULTRAZ).
How cold does it get in Norway? It's currently -21c in Toronto, ON , Canada with 26km/h winds.

the Bonka to me is the epitome of a great winter jacket (so far). I've had some Gore Windstopper products before and they were in no way good in wicking sweat off your body. The Mille Evo 7 winter jacket is doing a great job as well for the price (I say if someone wants to get into the Assos realm during winter it's a good jacket to start with)

I'm sometimes tempted to pick up a Fugu jacket on eBay - there's some BNWT that pops up from random parts of the world but still at a premium price (last one I saw was from Italy at $200USD).

Did he at least show you his lemon tree? An orange perhaps? I know a good guy I buy Giros from, his name is Stavros and he runs a little place named, wait for it... Stavro’s. He’s fascinated by my bikes and once lifted one up as if he was going to toss it. Of course he was joking but for a moment I thought “that’s the last Giro I buy from you”.

It’s a nice marketing piece, pure and simple, fitting right into today’s advertising trends. I love Assos stuff, as do many others, and a marketing blurb like this reinforces that brand loyalty for sure. I’m sure the head of the factory is very proud of his job, and they can talk of the Assos “family” all they like, but the fact is Assos is largely owned (majority owned) by an American business man and an investor group at this point. Focusing on “Stavros” makes for a great storyline however. Yet not a single picture of him in this well photographed promo piece. “Stavros” may or may not even be the head of the factory’s real name. This is a marketing promo first and foremost.

But it is nice to know that Stavros’ fruit trees are being well cared for, and that Team Dimension Data’s new S9 bibs are on their way. Yes, it does indeed make me ponder... “Will mine be next?”

What I’d really like to know, is if Stavros really has short femurs, or is the materials product cost savings from my 2cm higher tan line just going to feed the bottom line. Now that’s something to ponder. Time will tell if the quality remains the same.
Exactly ..

Here in Hamar it can get pretty damn cold, but if/when we have -20c or colder it's normally calm, say max 10 km/h winds. Today was -12 at the warmest, and should drop to -18 during the night.

I prefer combining my Bonkajacket with the Falkenzahn vest rather than using my Sturmprinz as an extra shell due to condensation, unless of course it's so cold that I need the Sturmprinz anyway. A friend has a Fugujack. He thinks it's both too warm and also traps too much moisture. That said: The later Fugujacks had a back panel made of RX material to better wick moisture, whereas the early ones had the same panel made of that space suit looking 851 textile.

Early version to the left, and late version to the right.

Then it's so cold that i have to bring out my Sturmprinz I also use the Sturmnuss knickers to help my knees and thighs. Those lovely Bonkatights have their limits too.

It’s that guy with the short femurs and a permanent “Salute” formation of the hands at all times, even when “relaxed”’at his sides. I thought Assos Man was history. Or perhaps this is a new Assos Man, his hands do look a little more relaxed here. Well, if we’re going to have a new Assos Man, where’s the new Assos Woman?

Wait! Wait just a minute... is that... is that Stavros? I'm impressed. Here I thought he just sat around watching the ladies sew all day and ate fresh oranges from his tree so lovingly cared for out back.

Why is it a failure?

I like belly breathing and most bibs aren’t cut low enough.

Lol. Sheesh, with raphas short cut fronts in their jerseys and Assos low cut fronts in their bibs, this is not going to be a good look for me going forward. I will have to remain in the “cyclists position” at all stops.

At 166cm, 81cm cycling inseam/91cm floor to hip socket, short torso jerseys are exactly a concern.

Yes, Cal, that must be Stavros, Jr. Not only are those arms longer (and the femurs, shorter) but they also show the musculature of a 25-34 who spends more time at the gym than on the bike. As it should be during the peak dating years.

@RTW I’ve seen by now on many pics new base layers for summer, black version. Can we expect those for this season as well or is this just teasing and new base layers are coming in following season(s)? I remember ypu mentioned somewhere in this thread that base layers are dated hence new ones would make sense :)

This is a feature!

The low cut reduces pressure on your bladder, allowing you to ride longer before toilet breaks, while also making toilet breaks easier.

We will let the other brands produce slimming pants!
