I like the black straps but they’re not available on the GTO. The gold straps are nice!
I think I should have gone with the longer legged version. Even with the new designer silicone grippers, they seem a bit shorter than I would like.
The 2/3 is about the right length for me. The GTO regular a bit too short.
Is the longer leg length GTO longer or about same length as 2/3?

First rides done wearing the trail winter pants. The pants are very comfortable, very much like the trail cargo shorts. I used them while riding gravel on a cool day, -2 deg C. With simple castelli knicker bibs the pants were warm enough for a Z2 ride, but for colder days warmer knickers or tights are needed. I will test them with Tiburu knicker bibs next, I suppose they are warm enough for even colder rides.kervelo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 8:26 amHas anyone used the Assos Trail Winter Cargo pants? How do you find them?
I am looking for some pants for winter MTB rides (on snow) and perhaps even some gravel riding in cold conditions. I have the Trail Cargo shorts for summer use already and really like them.
Just wanted to say how disappointed I was with the "new" Ultraz winter socks. It felt like a mushy pair of cotton socks as I wore it last weekend
The older Bonka socks were better. I see they cut corners on the materials used:
Bonka
45% Merino Wool, 30% Polyamide(Nylon), 25% Elastane(Spandex)
Ultraz
Composition: 50% polyester, 26% polyamide, 21% wool, 3% elastane
Im on the hunt for 1-2 pairs of the old Bonka socks if anyone has seen them. I also still want to try the older Fugu Speer socks but cannot find a pair in my size (1)

Agreed, the Fugu and the older Bonka felt warmer and made better. The newer ones are similar to other thin winter socks. I still use my Fugu more than the newer Ultraz

Chiming in here as I've heard great things about Assos and I recently got a pair of Equipe RS S9 bibs. I noticed that the pad sits quite far to the back on these compared to other shorts, such that I'm not sitting on the thickest part. Anyone else have this issue?
No, not on the RS line.
Pull the front forward a bit and move it around to have chamois in correct placement. I don't have any placement issues on RS S9 or any of the Assos bib shorts.

Have any of you used Assos' RS Aero FF gloves? Does the fingertip work with electronic gadgets?
I want some weight-weenie, long-finger gloves for spring-and-autumn gravel riding. Don't care about padding or insulation as long as it's windproof; I want something that bridges the gap between summer (bare hands) and winter (I have various bulky gloves and layers). But maybe the Assos RS Aero FF gloves aren't very windproof... online, it looks like a very light mesh back.

Have quite some Assos gear accumulated throughout the years. Their accessories basically suck quality wise lately. All those socks are awkwardly shaped for me. They wear out pretty quick and develop holes. Now on MAAP socks. For me they are 10x better.g32ecs wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 2:39 pmJust wanted to say how disappointed I was with the "new" Ultraz winter socks. Tried their caps lately and the two size option is basically not appropriate compared to the older ones where you HD at least 3 sizes. Tried summer cap. Size 0 looks like a Jewish cap and size I I can cover my ears.
Booties the new ones are expensive and very very delicate. Toe covers they old one I used them for years before crashing. The new ones are not reinforced in the clear opening and already start to tear after half a season.
This in contrast to their jackets and bibshorts and tights which I can use for years
