My S7 T'equipe Evos are the same length as my RS S9 bibs. Well, my tan lines say they are.

If a change were made it would be with a new product.

We get just as many people request shorter lengths as longer as difficult as this is to understand if you are in the other camp.
Odd. I think it's quite objective to say Assos uses lengths that are on the shorter side of what is currently in fashion. Same goes for sock length by the way.

Not saying that is necessarily a bad thing. I do have a tough time imagining customers asking for shorter lengths though, I'm getting visions of Speedos on roadbikes.

Hmmm, well since a lot of kit these days seems to be “raw cut” anyway, maybe you’re on to something, since the knickers are too short too. I jest, but only a little.
The previous poster commenting about different models being longer or shorter I think is confusing things with a time a few more years back when Assos actually did offer two lengths within the same model line... “standard” and “substandard” (ha, can’t remember what they actually called the lengths but there were two you could choose from). But the different “fits” between various models was always more about width, volume and/or compression rather than length.

This thread is really long. About a thousand posts ago weren’t we talking about Assos “simplifying” their nomenclature and offerings? Seems just as confusing now as it ever was and I still don’t get a sense that the future is changing much in that regard... still very confusing, just different names and numbers. Just looking back a few posts I can pull out “RS S9 bibs”, “RSR S9”, “SS.CENTOJERSEY_EVO8”, etc.
And it would appear that those colored messes of jerseys just recently posted are popular amongst some. If that’s the case then so be it, but those are a hard pass for me personally. But long live the Assos bibs. By the way, I’ve come to reluctantly accept the length of my Equipe Evo’s (I think that’s what they are, can’t remember without checking).

IME their jerseys are nothing special. Other companies offer more interesting and technical stuff at lower prices. Their bids are still very nice of course although they used to be more durable IME.

@calnago, There is still some lag when it comes to naming. And to be honest as it is now it’s actually possible to know which garment is being written about.

Nothing has yet been released at the 113 top of the line level.
Mille GT should be okay, and also Équipe RS.
On the women’s side it seems like Uma GT is okay. Not sure where the current Laalalai goes, and Dyora seems unpopulated as of now.

Good thing that they offer also messy jerseys. Not everyone is all monochrome.

Image Hmmm, is it? Maybe to you, and I would say I also have a fairly good grasp, but certainly not without a cheat sheet. But to someone new to Assos... I think it would be just as confusing now as it’s ever been. Can’t wait for 2020’s naming convention.

A cheat sheet might be necessary, but as a horrid example you have the Rapha Classic Jersey which has been changed, changed and changed again without any hint to help people explain which one they're talking about.

Temperatures are coming up around here again. Was out wearing My RSR shorts and Campionissimo jersey today. Smashing kit, I say.

“just different names and numbers” I’m not sure how we get around using names and numbers!

The new naming that is filtering through is a lot easier. Trust me, the first people confronted with this is dealers and if they are growing in happiness then it is becoming simpler.

On our jerseys being nothing special - I beg to differ. Just now I was in a shop looking at another brands £80 jersey. Yes, it had a more fashionable finish to the sleeves than our £85 jersey, but the stitching was poor. The materials used were also the same on the front and the back. No thought given to the differing function. The back of the jersey therefore stretched both vertically and horizontally. Anything in the pockets would therefore sag by your bum. The pockets themselves weren’t made of a different (stronger) material like Assos jerseys feature. Also, the retaining flap in all three pockets on an Assos jersey were missing (an Assos patent). This saggy pockets is a feature of most other brands from what I see.

Our top end jersey uses 9 different fabrics and 12 cuts. I don’t see (m)any others making product which is this well thought out and realised.

I'm not RTW (and I don't work for Assos, it's just my preferred brand) but since we all have our own soap box in here:

My Équipeshorts s7 and Campionissimoshorts s7 are equally long (or short). My RSR S9 is quite similar length wise.
Profblack was an end of production run thing, wasn't it? Still there's an all black Assos jersey, the SS.CENTOJERSEY_EVO8, and a couple that are black with white accents: https://www.assos.com/men/jerseys/custi ... lackSeries
Tiburujacket replacement: Mille GT Spring/Fall Jacket (Ritterkapsel) comes all black with yellow zipper
https://www.assos.com/mille-gt-spring-f ... &color=210
Habujacket replacement: Mille GT Winter Jacket (Hashoogi) comes all black with blue zipper
https://www.assos.com/mille-gt-winter-j ... &color=211

The eminent BonkaCento deep winter (sorry, that should read winter ultraz or 3/3 Ultraz) jacket can still be had in Profblack I see.
[/quote]

Sorry if quoting is not in th normal format

I'm not sure that Mille GT stuff is really a replacement for the old Tiburu and Hubu jackets

Mille GT is the cheapest and is everything most people need. .... and the cut is slightly more accomodating than out and out race fit. [/i]

I don't need or want accomodating/bulky kit. Pricewise, yes I'd like to buy it as cheap as possible but what is lost with the cheaper kit? Is it fit, longevity, colour choice, comfort?

cheers

Assos has cut what we make on the cheaper kit, as a consumer I don’t think you actually lose anything. The Mille range isn’t as technical as the Equipe RS Range, but still more technical and superior to most other product out there. The fit of it is less compressive and less aero. If you want aero / more tailored then the Equipe RS Range is what you should be looking at.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call the Mille range bulky though, especially if people were to buy the correct size.

The SS.Cento_Evo8 is a superb jersey. Technically right up there and the fabric choices are superb.
