Update on my bibs. Claim approved, shorts to be repaired. I will unfortunately be without them for around 4 weeks.

Im thinking about getting the Equipe RS Sprin/Fall Jacket.
Some of the reviews say that they only see limited use of it. Maybe someone who has real world experience with it can tell me, what kind of conditions (temperature and effort) they use the jacket in?
Would be greatly appreciated.

(if someone knows of a better alternative, im also open to it, but I really like the fit of the Equipe line and also the triple ramp pockets)

If it is going to warm up later in the day I wear the jersey with arm warmers so I can take them off later. Add in a gilet or jacket and that combo covers a very broad range of temps.

If temps during the ride are going to suit having sleeves the entire time then I'm more likely to wear the jacket. The long sleeves are not very thick so if you weren't working hard I can see them being cold. I usually wear a short sleeve baselayer with it, but they aren't the thickest material.

The short sleeve jersey is more versatile I guess. But I do use both and if I'm traveling it's easy to pack the 2/3 gear and know it will work in most shoulder season weather.

10-17 C, maybe with arm warmers on top in the morning chill. I really like mine. Seems like the new Targa variant mostly is an optical change. Have seen price drops on the original.
I guess the jersey is more versatile but I wanted a jacket, and when I don’t need to cover my arms I don’t need a wind blocking chest either.

Good to hear. You must be within the 90 day warranty window. All they have to do is send you a new pair...not sure why it takes 4 weeks to do that.

I agree..Having both with and without the arm warmers/gilet I think they work very well in a broad range of temps
I keep thinking it’s just a cosmetic change

My collection from Assos is expanding. They really got me, love their stuff but never pay full retail. That stuff you can find online with pretty much always a discount.

Colder wear is coming and there's always wind in The Netherlands. Looking for a windstopper/gilet without arms. Does Assos really only have :
- Assos Equipe RS Spring Fall Aero Gilet (€230,-)
- Assos Mille GT spring fall vest (€130,-)

I prefer the RS/GTS line, but €230 for a gilet is pretty pricy. Anyone got any recommendations? Or can tell me the difference between the 2?

In such a situation I wear Mille summer Long sleeve jersey. I prefer it over arm warmers. There is very little risk of overheating as you can wear it in summer temperatures too. You can also regulate the temparature with different base layer. As it gets colder with cold wind, then is time for Intermediate jersey with wind blocking front, which bascially is a substitute for a gilet and LS jersey combo. I use Falkenzahn gilet over Intermediate to add more warmth if needed. It woks seemlesly.

^You had me laughing there ducman.

They have 4.
Mille GT Wind vest:
https://www.assos.com/no/mille-gt-wind-vest-153774.html No water resistance, no warmth, very packable. A couple of very nice See Me! colours
Mille GT Air Block vest:
https://www.assos.com/no/mille-gt-sprin ... 52167.html Spring/fall garment, so some insulation and water resistance, access to jersey pockets through back
Equipe RS Aero Gilet:
https://www.assos.com/no/equipe-rs-spri ... 52191.html Spring/fall garment, almost seamless, two way zipper, water resistance
Equipe RS Rain Vest:
https://www.assos.com/no/equipe-rs-rain ... 52159.html Same textile as the Schlosshund rain jacket, but no ventilation/pocket access openings at the back

Vests are a funny thing and they seem to fill my wardrobe up.
1 Falkenzahn size L. Use it on top of my Bonka jacket if I'm out riding in -10 C
1 Falkenzahn size M. Very nice for bombing down alpine passes and the morning chill. It's a sleveless spring/fall garment, same textile (RXQ) front and back.
1 Equipe Tiburugilet Equipe size M (Successor to the Falkenzahn). "Summer" textile on the back.
1 Emergency vest. The classic boob roll. People ridicule it, but it is great. Lots of reflective bands. Wearing it in my avatar.
And then theres the one from Sanini and those two from Bioracer and...
But what's missing is a water repellent one. I guess I have to add €100.

Has anyone used the Assos Trail Winter Cargo pants? How do you find them?

I am looking for some pants for winter MTB rides (on snow) and perhaps even some gravel riding in cold conditions. I have the Trail Cargo shorts for summer use already and really like them.

That new 2/3 does seem mostly cosmetic, I think the listed material composition is slightly different. I could see them doing something a little different with the sleeves if I was going to fault it, maybe make them a bit warmer or more wind resistant. But overall doesn't look like it's different enough if you have the 2/3 with the yellow accents.

That one and the update to the RS rain jacket are both called Targa on the Assos site.

The 2/3 bibs are surely nice, but I think I'll stick with the bibs and leg warmers that I already have.

Maybe they'll tweak the Jodah a bit just as they did the 2/3 long sleeve. But they probably won't tweak the price.

I like the RS aero gilet for fit and doesn't flap or make noise when riding. Probably because of the material. The reflective stripe on back is nice and works well for intended fall/spring. I wear it more than my other vests. One of my favorite gilet. Don't know about the GT series but I would think it is less fitted and would make a bit more noise because of material.

Same here…

Besides not sure if everyone has noticed but the new 2/3 LS is 10€ more than the one with yellow accents Image
