I'd rather postulate that the Campionissimo jersey has no successor at this time. There was also a time gap between the preceding ss.13 jersey and the Campionissimo jersey. My guess is that they come up with a successor on the new top of the line 113/Laalalai-level when the SS Cento Jersey Evo8 gets retired.

The Équipe RS Aero jersey seems to me to be a tweak on the SS Équipe Jersey Evo8. I'm glad that the former is still around. Graphics are pretty loud on the Aero.

Thanks kjetil. Do you have any thoughts on my rawcut Vs lasercut question?

I would think it’s two words for the same thing.
Will look better on classic spandex like knit (e.g. Campionissimo Jersey) than on the dimple like knit of the Equipe RS Jersey.

Hey guys, been reading almost all of this thread now, but got some questions regarding the new RS and RSR.

Been riding DHB bibs but wanted to try Assos since ive heard so much good about them - and they sure deliviered! Huge difference in comfort!

I recently bought my first T.Mille S7, went with large, and the chamois gave me a HUGE wedgie, LBS let me switch them out for a pair in medium, much better.

My sizing:
184cm
79kg
Hips - 89cm
Waist - 81cm

Now, how would you guys recommend that I go about with sizing on the RS and RSR?

Should I stay with medium?

Bonus question: What are the biggest differences of the RS and RSR, is the price difference worth it? LBS said that the difference between T.Mille S7 and the RS isn't huge, but there is a big difference if one goes up to RSR. They werent trying to sell me on the RSR, rather getting me to save money by buying the T.Mille instead of the RS as my everyday short.

Thanks!

I'm 183cm and 84-86kg and wear a large in all my Assos bibs.

RS bibs are less compressive and have the new strap design.

RSR are essentially the new age Campionissimo and have traditional straps.

Both awesome, so buy whichever you like the most.

I disagree. The RS and RSR have more in common than the RSR and Campionissimo.

M in Millsshorts s7 might result in L in RS and RSR.

RTW posted this not too long ago:
"I am 1.86m and 77kg. I wear size L in Equipes and Campionissimo. On the more relaxed cut Cento and Mille I need the M.

On the Equipe RS S9 (the new short) I wear a medium. Why? because the bib itself is more elastic."

Is the RSR tighter than the RS then? Which means that for RS i would go M and RSR L?

Only if your RS in M is marginal. They have the same pattern (except for the rear strap attachment) but the RSR has a more compressive fabric.

Alright, seems like if I can fit into the M RSR then without it killing me then its the right size!

Would you pick the RS over the RSR?

That's a difficult question to answer. I've loved both my S7 Équipe and Campionissimo. I'm picking the RSR first. My Campionissimo is worn out, and being a skinny guy I prefer the extra compression too. But at the same time I won't waste an RSR by using it say under my no insert Habuthights. I's a short for the nice big days.

Got my RSR waiting for me in the mail now, will report back on them compared to my T.Mille

Oddly enough there are no reviews to be seen on the RSR, and only like 1 on the RS...

@RTW Maybe you can help me out here a little bit!

Just got the RSR S9 home, in medium. I wear medium for my T.Mille S7 as well. With the T.Mille I can pull out the fabric from my legs as its stretchy, on the RSR i can barely grab the fabric.

Now, I dont know if I am being over-cautious, but should I size up for the RSR, or is the fit that much "racier" for the RSR that they should be glued to your body?

Getting the RSR on was fine, a little tight getting them over the hips but they fit fine over the stomach, and isnt tight when in "race position" bent over. The only place where they are noticibly tight is at the legs.

Posted some photos here: https://imgur.com/a/JFaQoCU

My sizing:
184cm
79kg
Hips - 89cm
Waist - 81cm

Thanks!

The winter "fur" keeps the legs extra warm when used with leg warmers now during the colder months in Sweden 8)
