Back in Munich end of next week. Gone have to try them initially on the Turbo, as snow conditions are not ideal for my delicate body. :)

It’s probably the first Assos Bibshorts I m excited to try ..... and as RTW knows I m a bit of a Rapha Whore. Now if Assos could just launch an Aero Jersey with Arm Length to my elbows then I might be almost converted.

You might find that there are some on their way to you, if you are back at home yet?

so Equipe RS and Equipe RSR different in compression / size?

i wear a Campionissimo in Mediium, Cento in small. Similar to which one?
and material wise, Cento material is much different that Campionissimo. RS is like Cento? RSR is like Campionissimo?

From memory, I don't think I noticed a difference in the length for the Medium Equipe RS, versus the Large Equipe EVOs. That is to say that the Equipe RS are ever so slightly longer.

Is the compression on the RS like the Equipe?
Yes. They feel very similar in that respect.
Excellent - L should be spot on then. Cheers.

The RSR is the more compressive version than the RS. The material is similar to the Campionissimo (it is a woven material, not knitted like other shorts). Size wise, they are built to be the same, but the materials behave differently, so the RSR will feel tighter on the legs.

They have a similar fit to the Campionissimo, which itself is a race fit (like the Equipe RS range).

Agree, looked a bit jacked up. All the Pros wearing /riding in the S9s look like they're spot on.

I'm still waiting on my call from Rich for the modelling shoot.......
I wouldn't look at how Pros wear X item cause they (at least WT riders) get stuff with custom sizing to their requests.

Was digging that black aero jersey until I saw the backside. Is it just me or is that proper butchering of an otherwise nice design?

Did I read somewhere that the S9 shorts are a wee bit longer than the S7s bar one? The FF1/Mercedes Petronas thing was Campionissimo with Équipe insert which had 1 cm longer legs than the other S7s IIRC.

@Stoffa: There are still some All black Équipe EVO8 jerseys around. Cannot really see how it should be less aero than the new one. They use the same fabric. Depends on your build: The aeroFit of the new Équipe RS Aero is even tighter than the racingFit of the old EVO8.

Hi RTW,

Please don't change Assos bibshort leg lengths.

Signed,

My Tan Lines.

I wear Assos bibshorts exclusively, specifically S7 Equipe Medium, I like the leg length just fine, everyone else that's complained about leg length doesn't know what they're talking about

I'm also liking the S9 RS in black, very minimal branding, which I've complained about on the Equipe Evo, so kudos to Assos for that.

By the time I burn through (not literally) my supply of S7 bibs, S9 should be widely available and probably even with a discount

Horses for courses. I think it looks awesome with the red bib straps and the red stripe, combined with the socks which also feature this.

@RTW, thx for the clarification. I think going from previous S7 to newer Equipe S9, it would help on Assos website to compare it to previous versions to help those that want to upgrade and move up to the S9. Just like I asked, I'm sure there'll be many more questions regarding the fit and finish.

I would buy one when my S7 wear out and need a new pair. Since I have a few in rotation, it could be sooner than later...but I'm more anxious to try one to see how they perform in comparison.

Thx again. Great to have you here for the answers.

Gotta see how they look together, you might have a point.

On a sidenote though: are you aware you offered me a token of goodwill twice now, but never sent me anything? I felt quite letdown to be honest :(
