Lightweight Wheels new Website

The new producers of "Lightweight Wheels", Carbonsports, have put a very informative and beatifully styled section about their new product on their website.
It gives a history of the original makers Dierl and Obermayr as well as detailed technical info.
For those of you weenies capable of the german language, a link worth clicking!

They've evidentally not translated that part of the site into English. Tis only on the German section.

Do we have a german weight weenie who can translate it for us. It would be appreciated. Yahoo was not the best translation.

but before i or someone else invest the time, lets wait a little.
Stefan Behrens from Carbonsports is frequently active in the forum of the german magazie "tour". i asked him when we can expect the english version. I'll keep you posted.

the english version is available.
I've rarely seen such a nice and informative website about any cycling product. Highly recommended!

Do you completely agree with the spoke/turbulence discussion though?
It seems the analysis is made relative to straight-on wind direction, how much does it change in a side wind?
Still, a very convincing description....

This pentagonal comparison graph is a great thing, really a very efficient way of describing relative essential characteristics!!!

From the Lightweight website:

"The measurements quoted from the test are given as gravitational forces. The gravitational force must be overcome to move the wheel forward at 45 kph. The number shown is the average of several wind angles: The wheels were slanted away from the wind in 5° increments to simulate cross winds."
