I'm in the process of trying out different Fizik saddles for my bike. I notice on the Fizik website the saddle model names are Arione 00, Arione R1, Antares 00, Antares R1, Antares R3, etc. What does the 'R' refer to? The type of shell (carbon, nylon, fiberglass)? The amount of padding?

00 - Carbon Shell, Carbon Rail
R1 - Carbon/Thermoplastic Shell, Carbon Rail
R3 Braided - Fiberglass/Thermoplastic Shell, Carbon Rail
R3 Kium - Fiberglass Shell, Metal Rail

Weight increases and price decreases as you move down the line from the 00 version

Padding is not noticeably any different between these models, but Versus and Versus X versions have different padding levels.

Being pedantic the 'R' just stands for road, it's the numbers that mean other stuff :P
