What's going on here then?

The smallest Aeroad has a TT of 527mm, and the smallest Ultimate CF SLX has a TT of 525mm. Which means ... the smallest Canyon team bikes are in fact not very small at all. However, the smaller pro's on these two teams seem to be riding smaller frames than the smallest. Are my eyes playing tricks on me? Are the pro's on special builds?

According to these two links:

Quintana was on a 44cm Pinarello and now he's on a 50cm Canyon Aeroad. From the pictures it looks like he's running a shorter stem on the Canyon compared to the 135mm stem on the Pina.

Stack - 513
Reach - 374

Stack - 501
Reach - 357

So the Canyon is 12mm higher stack and 17mm shorter reach. Seems perfectly reasonable he is riding the 50cm bike from the factory.
