Folks,

Just wondering if anyone has used Arron Bike carbon clinchers?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/38mm-Clinche ... d2f&_uhb=1

I'm looking at buying a set for my TT bike as training wheels so that I don't need to faff around with changing brake pads (which, on a speed concept, is a major PITA).

If not, do you have any other suggestions for ~USD500ish.

Thanks, Gino

I got these from arron-bike on ebay... They also trade as http://www.d-bike.com ... 10 months old... will only change if i pay for postage in both directions. £130..... It basically means you have no guarantee. I asked them to just post me out new rims but flatly refused.

Avoid like the plague.

The Only (cheap) Carbon Clinchers I would trust are Farsports ones, due to my own experience and the 50 odd pages of feedback on here, with many people being satisfied with them and the customer service they offer.

@gingejp - I know you have an axe to grind with them, but signing up to a bunch of forums and complaining about the T&C's of warranty isn't the way to go about it. Fact is that regardless of the company, they're well within their rights to inspect their own product before replacing or reimbursing it. Whinging on forums because you decided to take a chance in order to save money and it backfired is more a reflection of our inability to take responsibility. They're actually will to replace them if you send them back which is a damn site more than most similar outlets will do.

You paid your money and took your chances. Next time you'll remember that 'buy cheap, buy twice' is indeed applicable in the cycling world.

As per other post am I doing the wrong thing warning people away from a seller I've had a bad experience with?

As you say, you pay your money and take your chances. I'm just advising people not to bother with this seller. There are better options. Buy from UK, or if you do go direct to China, Farsports seem to have a better customer relations policy.

Once again. Sorry for boring you.
