Would a size 57 BMC SLR03 work for me? I'm 191cm, with an 88.5cm inseam.

Let me ask also in this thread, seems like the right place, I’d like to see if I can find a good deal on a C59 or C60. Am between the 52s and 54s.

I want handlebar stack at 633, handlebar reach 462, preferably stem of at least 100, saddle height 758, saddle setback -57, handlebar from tip of saddle 519. As I cannot flex so well.

It will not be pretty, but what’s the best way to go about it here? E.g. positive stem (7 deg) and 25mm of spacers on 52s and 10 on 54s get me sort of close but not 100%. Or 54s on a 90mm stem and 13mm of spacers is close too but am concerned about riding a stem this short for handling. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, I'm 186 cm tall and 89,5cm inside leg. Do you think I can try size 57?

Please help me :)

Thank you.

I'm looking at the Canyon Ultimate but I'm right between a medium and a small frame size. 720mm saddle height from BB, 177cm height.
I would probably just go with the small but I see the head angle is about a degree slacker than I would normally run. Question is, would a 72 degree HA be ok if the bike is used primarily for crit racing? I'm on a 56 Tarmac Sl4 right now with 100mm stem slammed, just feels slightly too stretched out so contemplating moving to a 54 or the Canyon. I'm also looking at the medium TCR or 54 Cannondale Evo. It's tough to try these bikes where I live so the Canyon seemed like a good idea.

The diff between saddle height and bars will be huge will shorter HT. I'd move up.

Time to replace my TCR Advanced SL and was looking at the Endurace in a XL. My Q is around the sizing on the Endurace. Although its an 'endurance' fit, I want to make sure its not too stretched for me (as the TCR started to get to my back and I ended up flipping the stem to alleviate some discomfort). I feel the stack of the Canyon is fine, but more concerned with reach.

The L TCR:
Head Angle 73°
Seat Angle72°
Top Tube 585
Reach 406 (measured by me)
HT: 185
Stack 590 (measured by me)
PRO PLT 120mm flipped (10d) and 30mm spacers
Chain Stay: 405
Wheel Base: 100.07

Does anyone know the angle of the 110 Canyon H31 Ergocockpit? It looks fairly 'flat' but trying to get an indication of fit.

Also, looking for fit comparison if anyone has been on both (but I know apples & oranges on bikes).

184cm with 90cm inseam and have questions...
Last year I bought a caad12 in size 56 due to relatively long legs. Im using (with the stock big cone...) 45mm of spacers to bottom of the stem from the frame, the reach is good, maybe like 5 or 10mm too short? Looking for a road bike with a little less drop (105mm right now and Im quite comfy in both handlebar positions) = more endurance.
Would the Fairlight Strael 2.0 (light to be a reynolds steel bike) in 58R be a good one? See below. Different stack and reach numbers to bikes I was considering. Im thinking of getting rid of the stem stack more or less.
58R size adds 6mm with the headset. In that case I could ride a slammed stem like the short guys do? :D Worst case scenario would be like a 90mm stem and if I ever get pro flip the stem...

Ps. My saddle is 79cm above BB center... Pretty high.

Will only give you my 2 cents. You and I are exactly the same height at just over 6' but I have a saddle height of 77.5cm...still pretty tall.
With your long inseam, in my opinion unless you like a lot of drop, you should be on a 58cm, what I ride with 120mm stem.. Further, many long of inseam prefer a taller head tube like say the CAAD12 counterpart...a H2 fit Emonda ALR in 58 or even 60.. To me, this would fit you better unless you want to ride ultra slammed which some do say if racing.
Fit isn't just body dimensions. Its flexibility and level of riding ability and desire for comfort versus speed aka aerodynamics therefore frame size and geometry is largely a choice. Racers for example typically ride a size down but most more ordinary 6' riders will be on a 58.
And then there is Lance love him or hate him. He is 5'10" on his best day and rode a 58cm Madone with 130mm stem throughout this career. I somewhat emulate his slightly upright style but am a fair amount taller on the same frame size. See his position above.

How do I measure saddle tip tilt (angle)?? Want to upgrade from "eye" measure to a more scientific way? Thanks!

Thanks. Bought the 58r one. Just a few stems or slammed looks much better indeed... :) Paid deposit for a Strael 2.0 so Im super stoked.

Hello,

Can anyone with Trek Emonda SLR 2018 (H1 or H2) confirm that:
  1. the stack height specified on the Trek's website is from the center of the bb axle to the top-center of the head tube
  2. the included top headset cap is 20mm
  3. one 5mm spacer is required under the stem
  4. adding all of the above to the stack of the 56 cm H2 frame (577mm) will result in minimum stack of ~602mm (not taking stem's height, angle & length into account) or 574mm for the 56cm H1 frame (549mm stack)
Thanks

Use a flat board like a chopping board and the bubble/compass app on your smartphone

so I'm looking at a Scott Addict RC (or Foil)and trying to decide if it is time to size up or not. I think not, but some local guys think otherwise. I'm 175 (5'9") with somewhat short legs at about 80 cm and usually ride with a saddle height around 70-70.5cm. It can vary as I play with cleats and saddle set back. Usually set back from 4.5-5.5. I have always ridden 52s (c-c) going back to the 80s and don't need a stack of spacers to do that. in fact usually pretty slammed & 11cm. But I'm not getting any younger (turned 50) and I know that many guys my size are on 54s, plus the 54s are a little slacker in the seat tube so I don't have to fight to get my setback (hunting down a max setback post or pushing the poor saddle past the rail limits on some models...) I no longer race, but pretend to once or twice a week and definitely not a gran fondo/charity ride kind of guy (unless it's to see how fast we can do it) my old bike that I'm about to replace still has a traditonal bar with decent drop and the hoods are mounted below the tops by a couple cm, so I'm thinking to stick with 52 as the hoods will most likely be higher on the new bike since that's how bars and hood shapes have evolved, but I have thought of trying a more laid out position (i.e. higher but longer). anyway, thoughts welcome to confirm that I stick with 52 or maybe try out a 54

I'm looking to buy a Canyon Endurace and I just got a bike fit last week. My fitter mentioned i'm right between a small and medium. He said I should go with the medium to be more conservative. Does conservative mean more relaxed?

I'm 5' 9.5" (176.5 cm) with an inseam of 31" (79 cm)
