Hi all, after a bit of advice.

I'm around 182cm (5 ft 11.5 inch) tall with an 88cm (34.65") inseam so I seem to be on longer leg, shorter torso side of things, my saddle height is 78.5cm from centre BB to top of seat (still dialing this in).

I currently have an M/L TCR SL, the fit has never quite worked for me, I've always felt a little too stretched out and have even moved my saddle further forward to get it to feel right. I've been tempted as of late to go down a frame size to the M. What are your guys thoughts as far as fit goes? either run a M/L and drop down to a 100mm stem or go an M frame with a 110 - 120mm stem. Having the shorter torso, I'm leaning more towards a smaller frame, but I will probably have a fair ammount of seat post to bar drop on the smaller frame.

Any help would be appreciated.
you're the perfect candidate for so-called endurance geometry frames: less reach on taller seat and head tubes. If you go to a smaller (race geometry, traditional geo) frame you will probably have more drop to the bars or a ton of spacers to avoid it, which will be fugly. Unless you have really long arms as well, in which case it may work, but if you're feeling stretched out as is, that is probably not the case.

Opinions on a cervelo s2 in 54cm v my supersix 52cm . Saddle height 700mm. Longer in body than leg
5Ft 8inch
Would it work ? Just have a chance of buying one , unfortunately the seatpost will need to be cut a tad
Don’t mind a bit more stack as my supersix is running with a 25mm headcap and 10cm spacer

Yep it will work
You'll have to bump your saddle forward along the rails a few mm

Hi there.. Need a bit help for Cannondale SuperSixEvo sizing...

Im 175 cm, 82.5 inseam..

i own two bikes with setups that put me in similar position:

1. Colnago C60 50S, 110mm -8 deg stem, 40mm c-c handlebar (75/130) (Deda Superleggera stem and handlebar)

I use big headset cap under the stem (15mm), and 7mm of spacers (will add 2 mm more this days)

2. Cannondale CAAD12 in 52, 115mm -8 deg stem (Deda zero), Deda Zero100 Handlebar (40 c-c, 75/130)

Big headset (25mm) and 9mm spacers under the stem

So i have an offer for Cannondale SuperSix Evo 2019 in 54 cm size...

Regarding stack i will use small headset cap here (9mm) and about 4-5 mm spacers which is ideal.. But regarding reach to have the same position as other bikes i have i'll need to use 105mm stem which not possible to find.. So probably 100mm stem or 110mm (if i move saddle in the front for 5 mm 110mm stem, if i go 100mm stem then 5 mm in the bac))

CAAD12 which i have have very nice handling.. I like it a lot.. Very reactive especially when i need to switch direction quickly, and very racing lively feel...

What do u think about 54 cm SuperSixEvo? Will be feel sluggish compared to CAAD12 (especially if i have to ride with 100mm stem).. Will i loose that sharp and fun factor handling? or will be ok since it have a bit bigger front center which i guess will offeset shorter stem?

What do u think? Unfortunately i cant test it.. And no Cannondale at all in 54 where i live...

Thanks

I sold my TCR M and got a 2019 SSE Hi-Mod 54 a few months ago.
I'm also 175cm tall, and the SSE is a perfect fit for me. I use no spacers, just the carbon cone that goes right on top of the headset bearing (25mm tall). I've been using it for a few weeks with a 90mm Deda Superleggero stem but I came back to the factory 100mm stem since the shorter one made the steering too sensitive and the bike was twitchy even on flats. So I don't think that using a 100mm stem will be a problem for you, it handles like a dream and I'm still getting downhill PR's on Strava without even trying.
The TCR was a lovely bike with some great handling but the SSE is in a whole different league. And more comfortable!

Start with a standard 110 and go from there?

Can anyone give some tips on shopping for integrated bar/stem combos?

My current cockpit is a 90mm/-7 stem with 400/75/130 bars setup in a fairly neutral position

I could go slightly longr so im happy with a little extra reach but I want to keep my current bar height.

Where I'm confused is that integrated combos only mention stem angle.

How do I work out actual bar top position/angle?

Also I'm on an xs frame so my head angle is probably 1 degree off most frames.

You'll need to check all of them individually - ask the manufacturers. Some may give you better drawings. It's a massive pain since you obviously can't rotate the bars.

When I was looking at this a while back, pretty much all were designed around flat tops at 73.5 deg HTA. Some - eg, maybe ritchey and deda?, were set up a bit more old school and the tops aren't really flat. I don't actually know if they change the bar rotation with stem length - eg, if a 80mm/380mm bar is designed for a XS frame as I was only enquiring about 100mm and 110mm stem length integrated bars.

Hello everyone,

Does somebody ride cervelo r5, 2019 model? I would like to buy it, but Im not sure about frame size. I am 183cm, short legs, from BB to top of saddle is 740mm and from tip of saddle to center of handlebars is 580mm. I think about 54cm or 56cm frame. I've always had 56cm, but saddle was pretty low. Thanks for advice

i am thinking of sizing down on my next frame- a De Rosa SK. I believe typically i would fit a 50, but would like to know if I could make a 48 fit..

the 48's geometry is attached.

and my present numbers:

height 170 cm
saddle height- 696mm
bar reach (tip of saddle to center of bar) - 521
bar drop - 75
saddle set back - 51

thanks all

without knowing more, 56. If you rode a 54 your stem will be 10 - 20mm longer, not to mention lower. Assuming 580mm saddle to bars means you're already on a 110 or 120mm stem.

You'll need about 15mm of spacers and a 10mm longer stem. Is that too much?

15mm spacers under the stem? that's not terrible. i have room as far as a longer stem. presently running a 100 so i have room to grow. thanks!
