I strongly suspect that it is a China frame.
Isn't that basically PlanetX's business model?

That's what PlanetX does.

Essentially open-mold frames repackaged nicely. But credit to them is that they do not mark up to astronomical levels and have at least some sort of service warranty.

That was my idea also. But does anybody have a real live experience with this frame? Cannot find any reviews on internet.

Looks like some kind of FM-008 with an improved saddle clamp (?) to me

Perhaps they're reselling "binned" frames from a higher final quality tranche of open mold frames?

Painted! Zoom on this photo for font detail. Beautifully painted IMHO.

I'm pretty strongly considering the work well 093 frameset. How is the quality? I've heard that their paint isn't great, but I don't plan on getting it painted so that's no big deal.

I recently rode a 52 2016 Roubaix and it fit me pretty well, so I'm looking for something close to that. Any other suggestions.

Hi there,

I have a WW 093 rim brake version size 58. Nothing to complain about, works just fine. Quality is ok but not quite Hongfu level, but that‘s just in some places you won‘t see on the finished bike and may also be just my frame. Chinese open mould quality can differ even within the same model and vendor, but you get what you pay for I guess. So the steerer tube is slightly thicker than standard at one point and the fork‘s bearing fitting was a little bit rough and needed some filing, but not really much. Oh, and mine came without the tubing to install the internal cables, that‘s something I really hate.

Mine was not painted in color, but I had some decals and some matte clear coat. Nothing to complain about.

Overall, good endurance frame, great geo for long rides and old f... like me, 😉

Hope that helped...

Thanks for the reply! I've heard about little frame imperfections like that from workswell, and I didn't realize that hongfu was that much better. Maybe I'll poke around their site for something similar.

Did they charge you extra for the matte clear coat and decal? I might just do a headbadge decal and some matte

Well, remember we‘re not talking about huge differences here and my experience is just 1 vs 1, and the imperfections were just subtle. I‘d buy a frame from WW any time again.

The extra charge for decals and matte coat were 68$ as far as I recall.

Can anyone speak to the Hongfu FM-008 now that the FM-066 is gone?

I also see that there's some sort of special edition of the FM-069 on their site called the 2017 Superlight; anyone know anything about this?

I've just received Wellworks 095, 58cm, I'll share photos. Everything is in great condition, looks very tidy. Shipping and process was simple and fast. Only 1 missing item (seat post frame clamp), but the rest is as expected. Will build next week, hope to ride once the seat is sorted.

Only questions for others, the frame has internal cabling, but doesn't seem to have internal lugs or ducts. In this situation, I assume I thread cables in cable housing throughout? Otherwise won't they rub internally at bends?
