But thinking of trying out the speedplays...
U guys are right though. I could probably file the edges down...

I filed down the edges on my first set of Xpressos, but haven't bothered with my second set. When I did file them I left the pedals on the bike, and used a fine file, it probably toom 5-10 minutes for the two. I didn't do every sharp edge, just the ones I thought might catch my legs.

This is what I did. Took me about 30 seconds with a file and they are smooth as a baby's bum.
I am using Xpresso 8's and 10's on all my bikes and I really like them quite a bit. Excellent engagement, nice solid platform and they are reasonably light.

I used a fingernail emery board and it took about 20 secs per side.

I have 4 pairs of 12s. All were 154 / 155 grams a pair.

Mine are also 154g
Looks like I'm just unlucky, same with a few other parts of my build, could have saved around 40-50g if they were at the stated weight. !!!

I've owned Xpresso 15s on my main bike and 2s on my indoor trainer bike for the last year. Was quite happy with the pedals but less than 2 weeks ago the right 15 pedal failed! The back side thin carbon/plastic part that says TIME just broke off so no way to engage cleat rendering the pedal useless. So i stuck the right 2 pedal on my bike and in a race today the same effing failure occurred to that pedal and I crashed! i weigh 145 pounds, so i'm not a heavyweight. WTF?!?!?!
