Yeah, I have exograms on my main bike. I was hoping to hear more from users who successfuly experimented with those cranks.

Any idea what the stock / old stuff was and weighed? That’s strong tape too
I guess there's worse hobbies than making a bike light? Right?

Not exactly, but Looking on my old notes Notubes tape should be around 8-10g for the same wheel size, gorilla tape double from that at almost 20g.

What's the rim/tape width? Tesa 4289 in ~20mm is about ~5.5g for one layer on 700c rims. Did you tubeless it too?

no blow through on spoke holes?

that's what i'm always afraid of. looks like only one wrap revolution...not twice?

I rocked 40 psi in it with a 2.1 tire and it was just fine, yes, just one revolution.

someone has tips on what parts are easy to tune? dont have to much experience with tuning myself.
- ridley fenix sl 105 - not lightweight
- sworks tarmac sl 5 r8050 di2 - vision tc 24 wheels = 7,1kg

After the previous posts discussing cutting holes in carbon cranks I wouldn't agree with Marin's post. If it is made of metal then you can take material out. But carbon is much more susceptible to stress risers etc. when you remove material.

Non load bearing parts/non safety critical parts is a good place to start though.

Tried my first time modifying something myself (just a test so not very properly done) made some brake shoes bit lighter... doesnt look very nice but saved the weight... this was an old set of brake shoes so will be doing this more nicely with better shoesImageImageImage

Looks pretty decent. Out of curiosity, have you mounted them on the bike and given them a squeeze yet? Curious if the rubber pad material has a tendency to bulge out in that larger cutout opposite the pad retention screw.

No... just did this today and have to test it. I think the pad will not be very stuck in it because the lips are really not thick...
