Light Intergrated carbon bar stem?

Does anyone actually make a light reliable intergrated carbon bar/stem? Would like one in 100-110mm 42mm wide at 275g or less. My bar stem now is 165g Zipp SL bar and New Ultimate stem at 105g for 270 total. I like the aero advantage of the intergrated and possible(should be anyway) stiffness gain.

I don't think there's anything that light without looking at a custom bonded stem.

Most of the integrated bars/ stems are 350g or more. I have a Cinelli Ram 2 which is beautiful, super stiff and comfortable but weighs about 460g.

Hi,

I like the aero advantage of the intergrated and possible(should be anyway) stiffness gain.

Surely, in the grand scheme of things, this alleged aero advantage is totally insignificant?

I ride an integrated stem/hb BTW (Kuota Viking) which is not exactly light yet it's incredibly stiff. Remember also that these integrated combos do not allow for much tweaking of your position except for the height of the shifters.

Ciao, ;)

Very true, I'm just looking for every little aero advantage now as its been the the biggest gain for me even over weight.

Calfee do them custom. You can supply whatever stem and bar you like, I think, get it painted or leave it unpainted, etc, etc. Their website says a "typical" set up is 275-320grams...you might be able to go lighter with the right bar and stem combo.

Fair enough but in that case a commercially available integrated bar and stem is not very likely to give you the same position as you have now. That is assuming you know this to be aerodynamically optimal.
Besides that, an integrated bar and stem isn't per defintion more aero than your typical stem and hb.
As oysters suggests above, the custom route seems to be the only logical answer. Whether that will end up as aero or lighter than what you have now remains to be seen.
It could be in theory but I have no idea whether or not a custom builder (Parlee or other) take the aero factor into account.

After all the total cx factor of rider and bike is not just the sum of all aero parts lumped together, it requires a far more holistic approach to yield a favourable endresult.

Ciao, ;)

Get a Zipp Vuka Sprint bar and have someone bond on a stem. Would be around 300g and as aero as it gets. That is what I am doing.

AFAIK what I know so Signature, Berk and I can do custom if wanted.
Not sure if Berk do it, but he is a carbon cowboy.
