How would you consider a saddle is worn-out?

Would you consider this saddle is worn-out and should be replaced? I begin to love this saddle only recently.

IMHO, when it is no longer able to safely function as it should. I won't completely discount aesthetics, but primarily the concern would be retaining it's shape, and providing the proper support.

Any major tears would be considered worn out to me.

Saddles change over time. When you no longer get along with it sagging like a hammock (as yours do), in time all saddles will loose their support in the middle, some may go really fast (some of my SLR's did, others didn't). But some like the sloppy hammock experience too, so it's really up to you. If you don't feel okey with it, get a new one.

I hate breaking in new saddles, so I try to hang on to mine as long as possible.
But I will replace them when they brake, such as the plastic support cracking, or when they become so worn out they start to resemble a hammock.
Your saddle looks like it is sinking in the middle, but as I am not familiar with that saddle, that could be its natural shape.

I remember when pro's would take their saddle with them when they changed teams, getting that sag & shape just right was important...that was when Rolls, Regals & Turbo's dominated the peloton...a different time.

Yeah, didn't Indurain used to carry his favourite saddle with him on planes?
The saddle above looks fine to me, but I still use one of these.

Yes, that sag and shape is just getting right. I will continue to use it as long as my bottom happy.

I have the same Aspide Saddle in about the same shape. I'm expecting it to last quite a while longer still.

Maybe just get the saddle recovered with a nice leather to get rid of the sharp edges?

Well mine's currently held together by a mix of gaffa-tape and electrical tape. Asthetics be dammed!
