SuperSix to SuperSix Evo

I have 2010 SuperSix which I have upgraded everything. Sits at 14.62lbs with Garmin 705 on. So the weight is not to bad but no weight weenie by any stretch. I am looking at getting a SuperSix Evo Frameset and I was just wondering if this would be a worth while upgrade. My question would be ride characteristics over my standard SuperSix what would they be from anyone that has upgraded and what kind of weight difference would the upgrade get me down to? I love the ride of my current bike very smooth and comfortable, I really think this would be for weight only.

For as cheap as Evo complete bikes and frames are selling for on Ebay and for what you can get out of your Supersix you will be at very little $$ difference. Im just Evo Biased though:)

I actually want to make my current SuperSix my winter/rain bike. Transfer everthing off of my CAAD7 and sell that frame.(It's a little big for me at a 56cm) I really like my current setup on my bike and as I view it the only upgrade if I purchase a complete bike would be the Ultimate, Which has been on my mind. Of course I could purchase the Supersix Red and transfer parts on that. Decisions, Decisions.

The ultimate is nice and now can be had at deep discounts but 90% of the bike still needs upgraded mainly the old red group.

I decided to pull the trigger on a supersix evo - red. Can anyone give me some insight on a ride comparison from my standard supersix to an evo. Will it be night & day?

Why not just keep the SS. If you don't like the Evo, sell it and go back.

Probably not the answer you're hoping for, but does seem the most practical. At the end of the day, the SS is still an excellent frame.

It will not be night and day but you will feel the EVO lighter, more comfy and more lively. Just my butt feel.

The lowest Red spec is priced nicely and already below UCI weight limits by a margin.

Hopefully you picked up a 2012 rather then a 2013 (heavier although less expensive).

Good move!
