Rc32, are you scraping the base tape on the Thai made Yksion tubulars? I just picked up a pair and they seem to have quite a thick layer of latex on the base tape.

On the Thai ones, no.
I tried scraping off a bit and didn't get anywhere so I just glued them like that. Haven't had any problems with them so far. I've raced them a couple of times and they've been holding up just fine.
I think I might end up swapping them for something else when the race season here gets fully underway but for these shorter early season races they get the job done. I have some Corsa Evo Slicks, Bontrager XXXLites and some "Schwalbe Ultremo" labeled Veloflex Carbons that I might glue to the Corimas for the later races.
