SRAM rival because of good g/$ and the ability to put a SRAM mountain RD for Mt. Washington.

I'm intrigued my campy and love working on campy bikes. It's just too much of a financial commitment for a poor college student

There is nothing about the groups that would support this. It might be easier, though just as inaccurate, to claim it the other way. SRAM is lighter therefore better for climbers. Shimano has slightly better QC so is better for strong sprinters.

Again, it isn't accurate, but as least one could propose a case to back it up.

Very interesting to see that Campy and Sram are currently tied with Shimano coming in third.
I myself switched back to Campy (yes, I agree Campy 10 is the best to date) from Sram. Happy I went back and the 11 speed feel and adjustments are not bad.
Looking to go to EPS when the battery gets smaller/tuneable.

I think it will be interesting if this gets a lot of votes. Some industry peeps might even learn something.

Sram red 2013 recently upgraded from previous version. Love it. Have not tried Campy as yet.

They say that SRAM is for sprinters because you can pull the shift paddle in when you are on the drops, supposedly making it easier to shift whilst sprinting. He thinks that Shimano is for climbers because you can shift down 3 gears with one lever stroke. It sort of makes sense to me, but as you said there are other ways of looking at it. How would Campag fit into this?
I write the weightweenies blog, hope you like it :)

Disclosure: I'm sponsored by Velocite, but I do give my honest opinion about them (I'm endorsed to race their bikes, not say nice things about them)

Ridiculous

Especially when you see Cav using Shimano (even pre Di2) and guys like Nabali on SRAM.

I just ordered a new Red group for my new frame.

I have:
Old Red on my main bike.
Force on my race bike.
Ultegra 6600 on my cross bike.
XT/XTR on my FS mtb.
LX/XT on my hardtail (though this is currently on CL and I hope to sell it soon)

My wife has:
Force on her main bike.
8-speed Campy Mirage/Avanti on her old Bianchi.

We both prefer the operation of Sram over Shimano, though I briefly considered going with Ultegra Di2 instead of new Red.

And you've guessed it sram on the mountainbike(will be changing this to campagnolo as the g/sets trickle down my bikes)

I love you in non sexual way
Seriously tho, I would not trade Campa Record 10 ergo levers for anything else. I don't see myself using anything else unless i will be paid to use Shimano/Sram.
