Bebop pedals for racing?

I'm tempted to get a pair since theyre inexpensive, light, and quite reliable. However, is float (or 20 degrees of float) bad for road racing? My feeling is the least float the better....You might lose power if your feet can rotate/shift on the pedal?

So who has used them for crits and road races and is my logic correct? Thanks for the help guys!

Can't comment on the Bepop's, but I race crits and road races on Speedplay X2 pedals with 20+ degrees of float and love them, and I seem to remember reading independent studies showing no loss of power due to float. And if you are concerned about pulling out of them in a sprint, I have never come close, and I previously used Shimano and came out once.

Float is a personal thing...

That said, the Bebops are kicking ass under current use here.

I dont post much on here, but Id like to speak up for bebops. Ive had excellent customer service with them replacing a set of faulty cleats. Ive really been liking them with the Ebay Ti spindles!
