I have about 5000 on mine, most with a Hylix post, and I don't have any issues eitherEddyTwerckx wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 5:23 pmMeanwhile I’ve done like 8,000 miles on mine without a single creak or even any maintenance. Set it when I bought the bike and haven’t touched it since.trex wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:50 pmNah. IMO SSE4 is a dead end. Cannondale is now in third? fourth? iteration of the seatclamp and yet some users still complain about creaking.refthimos wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:42 amFor whatever reason, Darimo is ignoring the SuperSix Evo Gen 4 (despite offering a seatpost for the prior Gen 3), so if you do develop a Gen 4 post, I suspect you will find significant demand.LanceLegstrong wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:17 amAny plans to expand to other frame models in the future? Like a SuperSix Evo?
No sensible third party company would take the risk of creating a product to then have complaints about the seatpost creaking because of their supposedly "faulty" product.

The problem I have with mine is that it keeps coming loose. I've already tried threadlocker without much success.rollinslow wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 9:50 pmI've been very happy with my Alpitude parts. See the bottle cages and garmin mount on my SL8. Will be interesting to see what else is developed!

Dont you think it would look terrible on an Aethos with the bulky upper part?wheelsONfire wrote:Gemini Älsak is what you ask for.Schoenrock wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:44 pmplease make a round seatpost... I need it for my Aethos build!

No i don't. I think this might be the best option for weight and quality. Form and function have to win here IMO. But sure, if you really want something slender i ain't arguing. I myself actually went for the performance over light weight. I prefer to safer route when it comes to seatposts.polpy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 9:47 pmDont you think it would look terrible on an Aethos with the bulky upper part?wheelsONfire wrote:Gemini Älsak is what you ask for.Schoenrock wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:44 pmplease make a round seatpost... Otherwise i feel the smartest seatposts are Bike ahead. They have a coating, so they don't slip at all. You can adjust the seatpost and torque it like 3nm and it remains perfectly still.

Thank you for the recommendation! I checked them both out and I agree with the previous comment - I think the bulky upper doesn't really fit with the Aethos vibe, especially considering the thin seatstays. The Bike Ahead one looks really cool, but is also 60g heavier than something like Darimo, however their quality and finishing isn't one to be desired either....wheelsONfire wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 10:00 pmNo i don't. So if Alpitude could build one that's somewhere in the middle... that would be awesome! Straight and clean design, somewhere around 90-100g maybe? Please do it! <3

Even if it was obvious that the post would not be cheap, that would be about 500 € for a seatpost. I hope that won't happen ...ilco wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2024 12:15 amPre-order and price here :

What is wrong with the Elita One seatpost? 130 grams advertised in 27.2x350, comes in underweight a lot of times. 30€ on Aliexpress
Darimo, Schmolke and Gemini are under 100 grams. Bjorn, Bike Ahead, Mcfk and so on are in the 120 gram range, even Grigio Carbonio is just around the 100 gram mark
