Has anyone fit the CRW 6575 to the Foil? I'm keen to get a pair but it doesn't look like it would have the space for it
Should fit fine with 28 or 30mm tires. The rear may be tight with a 32mm tire, based on how much space a 32 has on my 23mm wide rim.

Hey everyone, just picked up my new Scott Foil RC 20 with DA upgrade.
Stock weight is 7.7kg inc everything.
Should be able to get it down to 7.2kg without much effort. Hylix seat post, carbon saddle, CRW wheels to come.
Thought i'd also share some images of tire clearance. There's plenty.
I was able to fit my gravel wheels (28 internal, 34 external) with Vittoria Corsa Speed Control 34s, easily measuring 36. There's about 3mm clearance at the smallest point in the rear.

What about chainstay clearance? That's where my Conti 32mm on Zipp 23mm is tightest. I would go bigger if I could, but I'd be worried about rub when flex combines with dirt.

i'd say there's about 3mm either side. it looks very similar to the seat stay clearance.

Did you save much weight getting the 35cm Enve SES aero bar?

What did it come with?

Looks amazing, I'm looking to get the same RC 20 paintjob model. When you see this bike in person...

Looks like a size XL. How did you go about sizing? Still deciding between L and XL.

@Rough Yep, it's the XL/58. I'm 6'3", long arms, long torso, short legs. quite happy with the fit.
I'll eventually slam the stem to get it a touch lower.

@SixThirteen The bar saved 95 grams. Very pleased with it on first impression.

I did go to the effort of showing you a size 56 and posting a photo which you could compare with a 58 that was posted above it. No acknowledgement from you but you're asking the same question. Sometimes you've got to just make a decision, there's no more info available unless you go and try at a shop.

I am grateful to you and everyone else that chimed in and gave me sizing advice.

Truth is I get so many conflicting advices regarding sizing. I'ts actually almost 50/50. I probably best fit a 57cm size bike so I'm in-between.
Can you adjust the height of the stem without cutting the fork steerer?

Yes, you can adjust stem height but you shouldn't really clamp it below the expander which sits inside the steerer tube.
The steerer will need to be cut to size before fitting the plastic stem cover. You can ride it without the cover whilst deciding on fit but it doesn't look great.

With the Addict getting a redesign, curious if a new Foil is just right around the corner.

Doubtful.
  • It's too soon
  • Scott isn't doing the best financially
  • Exactly because the addict got an update another new bike is unlikely

Weighing either an SSE evo (2 or 3) vs a Foil RC (20 or 30). As these were recommended after my retul fit. Have some Lightbicycle wheels ready to swap onto whichever

Do the current Foils have any issues that continue to plague? Seat post seems semi-resolved.

Love the pure aero look - just don't want to walk into a headache. Will test ride everything too.

TIA!
