Was pooring rain and we wanted to unload holidaybags in the dry (garage). Bike hitting the garage while backing in with the car... even though wife was looking, she concentrated herself on roofbox and not on bike.
I assume that's why she'll soon be your ex-wife?
You mean use bike insurance to fund divorce costs? This thread is going way OT. :D

I want to test ride a SL8 and therefore lower the stack by putting away spacer. I can not fix the headset. Only if the full stack of spacer are mounted the headset is tight. In the manual they say Max 5mm spacer above stem???? How should I test ride a bike when I have to ride all spacer or cut the fork???

Anyone having problems mounting the Slica 105 RDH? Can get it properly indexed. No problems with OE direct mount.

Yes a number of people, including me, mentioned the same issue with the Silca hangers. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement, but a different poster didn't have the same luck.

Unfortunately very difficult... but the shop ultimately will leave everything at max.. just because you and I want it slammed or close to slammed, doesnt mean your neighbor does...how many spacers are installed on this bike / how many do you want taken out?? I honestly can't tell 5mm worth of spacers , but thats just me.. does your shop have a fitting station at all? Take it for a ride full stack, and get them to adjust the fit bike for less spacers.. its the least a shop could do for you if your spending thousand of dollars there!!

I have it built with SR WRL, but did not build it myself. It you have any specific question I might try asking my mechanic. Or are you interested just in general how to route them and if there are any problems and how to solve them?
So Spesh want you to route hoses from the brake caliper up to the shifters. I believe Campy has the opposite where the shifter comes connected to the hose. I figured just a bit more difficult to do it this way.
True, shifters had hoses attached to them. Will check with him how he did it and let you know.
Thanks! I would definitely appreciate that info.
Even though @pariscarbon already shared his experinece, I got info from my mechanic. He said he mounted levers last. Waiting for him to reply and confirm my understanding, which is he dismounted hoses from levers and later attached them again? Is that possible? As you can see I know very little about technical stuff  He also said you can do it either way. I can't say I have any complaints regarding how my bike operates, but then again it's true I also don't know if I am missing something and it could work even better :noidea:

While it certainly is possible to disconnect the brake hoses from the Campy brifters, it is a fairly difficult operation and can result in damage to the connection at the brifter. I would not recommend doing it unless the brake hose has to be replaced.

Thanks! Seems I should find a new mechanic

Edit: we just talked, when asking further how he built it he said if hoses were attached to the lever then he did not dismount them. But confirmed that it is easier to start from caliper and finish at the bar.

what would you do after s works crash?
1) get warranty s works frame and rebuild it?
2) get warranty s works frame and resell it to try to recoup monetary losses?
3). eat the losses and don't do anything
I feel you brother. Experience the same thing right now!

The replacement frames are either all black or black with white logos... not my taste at all.
I would choose Nr. 2 if I were you. Luckily, my financal loss is covered by insurance, I will just get a new frame. Unfortunately the chameleon frame is no longer available. I will either find one left or go with a Magenta.

Maybe hild out for all the new colourways.
Should have told insurance the frame was custom painted
[/quote]

No I am not planning to wait this long plus I love Chameleon the most. Try to get the same frame but not sure if I get it. But I would be able to get a magenta, second best colour IMO
