I've had a padded and an unpadded Lupina and zero issues with either. Just ordered another padded...lovely saddles.

Ok, I will get one, then!
One last question: is really 5Nm max torque applies?
I have Cannondale Save seatpost with regular clamp (clamping at all length, not like saparate yoke styled ones).
Could I clamp to 8Nm, how mentioned on seatpost sticker? I am afraid, 5Nm will slip.

it's safe, but dont expect it too last. Look at the survey numbers less then 50% had no issues = not good. Ive broken 2 and I gave up on them years ago...
That's what I am scared of. Even Berk is good in swapping failed saddles, not be able to ride saddle I purchased for a month or two during swap process is NG.

What option you went with, by the way? MCFK, AX?
Bontrager XXX which never had issues .. considering getting an open padded MCFK soon.

Yes BERK is excellent with swapping out saddles, but that gets old and nothing like ruining a ride... mid ride.

There's pretty clear guidance on the website, Image

Apologies if this is the wrong Berk thread. There seems to be a lot.

Has anybody else had issues with the saddle creaking? I've torqued to the max spec and used gripper paste. Any push down on the rear or front of the saddle (Lupina 132) gets creaks, and it's driving me crazy out on the road.

I have two Lupina 132's and no creaking. The one does show some stress lines that have been there for a few years and they have not grown nor show any delamination.

No for me as well - I've had four 132 Lupinas to date and no issues with creaking on any of them.

Is it the saddle or the connection with the seatpost (does it creak if you take the saddle out and squeeze it)?

There are no moving parts so unless you have rails de bonding hard to see where it could squeeze

If it is on the seatpost i would clean and grease all parts with an interface (bolts, cradle…) before reinstalling.

I think it's the rails in the clamps... but it's pretty tricky to know exactly where the noise is coming from. I'll take it all apart and see if I can isolate it.

I have Berk saddles on all my bikes. Have had rails break, shell break, shell debonded... the whole palette. It was always my fault but berk replaced all of them, no questions asked. The Lupina 150 (also short) is the most comfortable saddle i've ever ridden, by a large margin.

I also use it on all my gravel bikes and have had a 9l apidura bag attached to it, no issue...

Now running 2 Lupina short 140 saddle. Very very very comfortable saddles. One mounted on a Darimo loop post and the other on a hylix. No issues, no noises. This thread did make me hesitate before purchasing. Hopefully they got things dialed in by now. Currently around 78kg, winter weight!

My XXX saddles are great but the bare carbon edges wear my bibs. I recovered one with veg tan leather, going to put it in rotation to see how it works out.

I had broken rails on 7*7 which was caused by razor sharp seatpost (Flotte Lotte). After switching to Beast post and oval rails this was fine. Me and my colleague had in total 3 debondings at the front where the glue was too weak.

If I'm finding the Ploh exceptionally uncomfortable, is it lkely I'll find the Lupina to be any better?

My test Berk lupina just failed or was broken after about 3000km. The shell came away fromn the rail where the two bonded at the rear. I had ridden 220k in the previous 2 days without any sign of the 2 coming apart.. I think the bike must have been lifted by the saddle or a horizontal pressure or upwards applied to it causing the break. I have let Berk know. I may have a go at using an epoxy to bond and then continue using for commuting. I love the saddle. Super comfy even after 230k of the Majorca 312-missed the cut off.
