I "heard" that there will only be a new Apex, no change to Red, Force, Rival.

Reliably informed that we'll see:

- No change to Red
- Mostly cosmetic tweaks to Force, including Rival-style hoods
That makes a lot of sense given what is in this thread already.

People talking about RED having one port for Blips (which it does already) and Force not having it - which of course makes sense as Rival AXS does not.

Of course it doesn't really matter anymore given that Blips are availible in fully wireless versions and no ports are needed.

I'm hoping they match the esthetics of the black Rival shifters - Black Force would be quite nice.
I seriously hope Shimano follows suit with wireless blips. (They won't, it'll kill sales of Ultegra). But a man can dream.

Offtopic: with Ultegra so close to DA in performance (but still a fair share cheaper), it would be hard to kill Ultegra sales whatever Shimano did.
Bikes I know something of:
Vial Evo Ultra | SS Evo 1 & 2 | R5D | S5 | S5D | P5 | O2 V.A.M D | AR FRD | Addict SL | Plasma 3 | SL6 | Orca | Orca OMX D | Boone D | 596

Incorrect. Updated Force (cosmetic) in March. Apex later in the summer

And I seriously hope that SRAM introduces propper wireless blips with a small form factor and a replaceable battery. The existing ones are a complete joke: bulky and ugly on the one hand, non-replaceable battery on the other.

Just look at whats available for Eagle. Gold, Rainbow, Copper.
There'll even be a special launch edition from one bike brand

Are we talking end of March or beginning of March - is there a date yet?

New shifters listed on bike24.com

SRAM Force eTap AXS shifter set
https://www.bike24.com/p2335410.html

SRAM RED eTap AXS shifter set
https://www.bike24.com/p2341660.html

I much prefer the look and the price of the Force shifters, reminds me of the good ol' Apex 1.
