Anyone know the size?

I dropped one changing the battery. It's working just fine with 2, but i'd like to have all 3 there.

Not sure if it's 2mm or 2.5mm

They're 2.5x5mm with a 5mm philips head.

Since Sram does not sell just the screws and makes you buy the cover also for $12, I got a box of 100 for $4.14. So if anyone needs any, let me know.

Good to know. Thanks

A few questions.

1. How long did your batteries last before needing a change?
2. Did the battery die on you?
3. Or, did you just change them because you had them for a long time?

A few questions.

1. How long did your batteries last before needing a change? Original batteries since February 2016, 18,000 miles
2. Did the battery die on you? Yes, checked the LED and it was green 2 weeks ago. took the bike off the hooks and the right one was stone dead
3. Or, did you just change them because you had them for a long time? Might just change them every 2 years.

My original shift batteries lasted 25 months from new and about 11,000 miles. I replaced them both when I got a low battery warning on my garmin. Of note, that includes a lot of time in the car and about 12 flights.

I may be sending you a PM but I have one last place to check.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm doing a battery change on my etap red shifters and have lost a screw. Trying to source spares.

What is weird is that my shifters have a different cover and take 4 smaller screws. They are tiny, maybe 5mm x 1.5mm or 1.6mm.

Can anyone confirm this?

Maybe you have an older set of shifters or the wrong door panel. It is located on the inner side of the shifter hood. But the small screws should be found at any industrial supply stores or maybe even electronic suppliers. Those little bolts disappear pretty quickly when they hit the floor though. I also lost one of the three bolts and just left the one at the top out since if it does rain and your in it your hands are going to cover that position when on the hoods. Also the bolts are stainless steel if you are too source them out.

Thanks, I sourced a bunch from eBay but amazingly found the screw a few days later.

I think I have a really early model of shifter.

Do you still have these screws available? I'm now down two!
