And if Froome can stay upright, I reckon he takes the ITT today...not that I'm a fan.

That's a bold prediction! I'll say Tony Martin to win today.

apparently I'm not alone...

David Millar (Garmin-Sharp), who is going to retire after the Vuelta, explained that he can’t fight for victory in time trials any more. However he was only 2:05 slower than Cancellara.
“The only rider who can beat Tony Martin today is Chris Froome”, he predicted.

Froome stayed upright, but definitely didn't look too hot.

Yeah, very disappointing. Previously he tended to pick up a second or 2/km on Bertie on the flat but deffo didn't do that today. Glad to see Bertie do it though, still an interesting few weeks ahead.

Love these more interesting ITTs in GTs. My fav of recent years was the Cinque Terre one in the Giro.

Is it weird that conta breaks leg in tour and is beating Froome in TT's?

I think the motivation just hasn't been there for Froome.

Contador seems to always have been a guy that is very focused and gains/loses form really fast. I remember him taking a week or two off after Paris-Nice a few years back and then winning the Tour.
