I wonder if SRAM have a wall of fame in their head office where they mark up the pro racers whose races have been ruined through SRAM chain failures.

Andy Schleck, Fabian Cancellara, Mark Cavendish...

Yeah, I was pretty amazed that he panned them so badly right out in the press, amusing.

What a ride out of Der Panzerwagen, same article, Cav said he did like half of it himself and the rest just held on for dear life.

I still think it's insane that his ITT time at the WC's last year put him comfortably in the top 10 of the TTT... the courses weren't quite the same, but very close and both almost 60km long!

Not very 'pro' of Cav.

I don't mean to pile on, but I have to agree though - not a fan of the sram personally. I thought is was telling that the secret pro even admitted that there is one unnamed component manufacturer that all the pros hate.

whoa, can you even compare smashing tennis rockets to 10k$ bikes.. it clearly shows cycling's a rich sport these days, i can't imagine a pro destroying his bike 20 years ago.. :noidea:

But I'll admit if your team happens to GIANT-SHIMANO... it's not exactly the best for PR if you decide to slam it onto the ground like that.

i remember in my junior tennis days, my coach would throw anyone out from training and ban him/her for quite a time just for smashing a rocket. it was basically about learning how to loose and respect for the equipment (and money parents spent on us). one time he even told kid's parents not to bring the boy anymore, even though he was one of the most promising kids around. apparently Cav either skipped that sort of lessons or had a momentary lapse of integrity. either way, i'd rather he gave that bike to a spectator or a cyclist in need :waving: than turn it into a useless carbon fibre junk :-/
