At RAI Sport Due, They aired footage from the 60's race, the peloton going up the Sormano climb on 42x26 that was the lowest gear of the time,

Seems that the fastest ascent record dates still from those years.

Bullshit. Is there actually a list anywhere? And was it used in the same place during the race?

Even if you go back to the 80's the times on basically everything aren't even peloton speeds now.

Photo in VeloNews of DW taking the Madonna KOM reminded me of my ride getting the Strava KOM in 2010.... KOMs in Italy were a LOT easier back then, though. Bells didn't ring for me...
