I think there's more than a few riders in the peleton with positions like that...

Wow, Wiggins just executed one of the best gentlemanly bike throws ever! He couldn't have done that again if he tried 10 times. He had been having troubles with something in the drivetrain for a couple of minutes, finally hopped off, and tossed the bike to the side and it gentlely rolled up and perfectly stopped itself laid up against a stone wall.

Losing cool is so not cool Sir Wiggo. But I like you anyway *mancrush*

Btw, do Proteams have insurance for their bikes/equipment for crashes, breaks etc?

Saw that on live Eurosport, someone NEEDS to make .gif out of that. Pretty amazing bike throw intentional or otherwise (did he knows that it will land that nicely  ?

Nibali nails it. He looks so effortless all the way through that final climb. I think he races this Sunday no? Liege will be fun.

Yeah Nibali looked strong. Can he pull a 'Wiggo' and hold the form all the way thru the Giro? He's now won TA and Trentino...

Apparantly, problems with the electronic drivetrain? Mechanical FTW!

Knowing how Wiggo likes ultimate performance material, like assos, osymmetrics and bont shoes, he must dislike a lot having to ride a Pinarello...
Happy Trails !!!

The pros seem to like heavy frames. This isn't new. The Competition Bicycle by Jan Heine has weights of historical racing bikes and Eddy Merckx's is a brick: heavier than bikes 30 years older.

You mean to pay for a replacement? In my experience the answer is no. Sponsors take care of that. Each team will have a set of race bikes, spare bikes, home bikes...etc Along with all of that is an amount of spares. Crashes happen and parts get replaced. Some parts simply get trashed. Small teams might not use them for a race bike but will keep them for home bike repairs. Things like broken frames get replace by the sponsor. I know a team I was on we had a lot of frame failures. I kept 3-5 frames on the truck at all times. Finally the sponsor changed out the frames to a different model, as they broke we replaced them with the newer frame. All of this was no cost to the team.

Hope that answers your question.

First Thomas Peterson getting stuck in the big ring and now Wiggo? It seems like there have been a lot of Di2 failures in races lately.
