The bar tape seems to be a component of the bike's pink gradation theme.
I was lucky enough to be at the start of the giro d'Italia today - the pink tape on the scott didn't look out of place in the flesh.
I spoke to Neil Stephens who had flown in with the frame last night. Got it to the hotel at 10pm and it was ready by midnight. The mechanics really do work hard on the tour!
I called to the Movistar and Lampre hotel after the race and watched the bikes getting cleaned up after the wet race.
Both teams used an air compressor to blow out any moisture left after the full clean.
Also managed to score a few bottles (including Quintanas) so that was the icing on the cake for me!
Absolutely delighted to have the giro in my home town - who knows if anything like it will happen again?

Quintanas bottle? yuk. Youre probably not a "Red Dwarf" TV show fan, but that reminded me of a characters treasured posession:
