Colnago-CSF Inox team leader Domenico Pozzovivo is the latest rider to receive one of Colnago’s new-for-2011 C59 frames. Featuring new, reinforced tube shapes that make it especially rigid and resistant to torsion, the C59 is set to be used by the diminutive Italian climber during the key mountain stages at the Giro d’Italia.

Saw it a few times yesterday in the Giro.. looks very nice built

UK distributor told me that they expect delivery to be September/October at the earliest and that it'll be £3300.

Yeah but probably not in my desired size/colour and no doubt at the RRP or thereabouts.

£3300 for the C59. So that's £200 more that the current RRP for the EPS.

The claim is for the lightest frame yet. I wonder what that will be. I guess probably still not that light but with Colnagos it's more about ride quality. The frame is also being touted as an all-rounder, so be interesting to know if the feel is any different from the leaf stays of previous models.

Well this was mine in Nude carbon 52s without fork or headset, so they aint got to too much to lose some weight, the chain stays will be a different shape, and the fork looked dramatically different more aero bladed.
Somehow if i had have known i may have waited until the C59 was released.

Personally, I think the EPS is and will be more of an 'all round' frame. The C59 appears to be more of a Sprinters bike. Just look at the riders it was given to in the 2010 Giro!

Well I'm in the same boat with a down payment already made on a new EPS (By the way a 50s MTBK so it will be interesting to see the weight compared to your 52s).

The consolation is that the great thing about Colnago frames is that they generally don't date too badly (as they don't just follow trends) and people still love riding them even after many years. This is one of the reasons I went for one, I'll need to keep it for a while. Just look at the love for C40s, C50s etc.

Last weekend I was at an event and there was a guy on a Geo painted C50 (faster that me I might add!) and he was loving it.

If Lafolie's assumption above is correct then the EPS effectively is the new C50.

A few details about the frame...

-Fully lugged carbon handmade in Italy
-960 gram frameset (for size 53)
-stiffer/lighter than the CX-1
-Internal cable routing
-Di2 ready, with placement for batt pack.
-manipulated tubing, looks bi-conical ala C-50
-looks like the trusty B-stay
-expected release in December 2010

Looking at the advert in front of me, the stays have a label saying Q-Stay rather than B-Stay.

Intriguingly, the wheels on in bike in the C59 advert have Colnago logos on and are labelled as CW50TU. They look like 50mm carbon tub wheels. There is also an "Equipped with Sapim spokes" sticker on the wheels too. I have no idea what these are.

Yeah ive seen the ad too 3 page gatefold on Pro Cycling mightly impressive looking, but i still feel the EPS is looking more stylish.
The wheels are Colnago Branded but on close inspection, they are looking like Fulcrums to me.
Q stay insted of B stay ?
The images are taken from the news section on Colnagos website

What seatpost is that? It has more setback than any of the EPS seatposts I've seen

I know it is sacrilegious to say but does it seem similar to a Look 585
Same lug shapes/cuts etc... Headtube shape too

Of course it looks good to me
